The photo shows Underwood wearing a striped shirt and holding a rose. The image is similar to Carell's poster for "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," which opened in theaters in August 2005.

"The wait is almost over... for #TheBachelor premiere, that is. Thanks to @JuddApatow for debuting our other poster," the post reads on Twitter, tagging "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" director Judd Apatow.

Underwood confirmed he is a virgin while competing for Becca Kufrin's affections in "The Bachelorette" Season 14.

He told fans in a tweet Monday that "The Bachelor" won't focus too much on his virginity.

"Of course it will be mentioned time to time because it's a part of who I am. As a whole, you'll actually get a full sense of who I am. See you on Jan 7," the star wrote.

"The Bachelor" host Chris Harrison recently told Hollywood Life that Underwood's virginity gave the former football player "an extra layer" to consider during his Fantasy Suite dates on the show.

"Everything's kind of the same [as other seasons], and that's kind of the beauty and dilemma of the Fantasy Suites: Is it moral and what does it mean to you?" Harrison said.

"There's an extra layer for him, but that's the beauty of those situations. Intimacy does not intimidate him. He's not awkward. I think you will see he's just very much a regular man," he added.

"The Bachelor" Season 23 will premiere Jan. 7 on ABC.
