The Bachelor star Ben Higgins might have a side of him fans haven't seen yet, according to Kaitlyn Bristowe's runner-up Nick Viall.

"I think ABC made a great choice," Viall told Us Weekly.

"I think he's one of the few people that actually lives up to the hype. He's a very sweet guy, and now that he's the leading guy, I hope we get to see the other great sides of Ben."

Higgins apparently has a little bad-boy side to him.

"Ben has an edge and I hope that he shows it!" Viall revealed.

Higgins recently posted a photo of himself with Viall on Instagram, writing, "Thanks for being supportive and insightful through the last few days."

On Monday's After Paradise special, host Chris Harrison faked America out by welcoming Viall onstage right around the time viewers were expecting the official The Bachelor announcement. Harrison talked to Viall about his "next adventure" and whether he's ready to find love after being hurt by Bristowe. After a quick conversation, however, Harrison announced Higgins will be the actual Bachelor.

Reports circulated for a while Viall was a frontrunner for The Bachelor's Season 20 star, but it was clear he had his work cut out for him with fan-favorite Higgins competing against him for the role.
