The Bachelor's Ben Higgins is commenting on his ex-fiancee Lauren Bushnell's reported split from her boyfriend of more than one year, Devin Antin.

"From my side, I did hear that, I've been asked about it a lot. It's such an interesting place for me to sit in where all you hope for that person at first, you're angry and hurt and confused, then all of a sudden you turn to this thing where you're like there is no good from me being mad," Ben, 30, told Us Weekly on Thursday.

"There is nothing good coming from me wishing any ill will on Lauren. Then you start to celebrate her new life, then that ends, and I'm in a weird place, like what do I do now?"

Ben starred on Season 20 of The Bachelor in 2016 and ended up proposing marriage to Lauren during the March finale.

It was widely believed Ben had nothing but the best of intentions during his season, and the couple really seemed to be in love with each other.

But after more than one year together and starring in a spinoff, Freeform's Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?, the couple sadly announced their split and decision to end their engagement in May 2017.

Lauren told People in June 2017 their breakup mainly came down to the fact they weren't compatible but there was no blowout fight or bad blood between them.

While it took quite a while for Ben to get over the split and find himself ready to date again, Lauren moved on within a couple of months by getting romantically involved with Devin, whom she had met on Tinder prior to appearing on The Bachelor.

Lauren met up with Devin as friends once she moved out of Ben's home in Denver, CO, and returned to her family and friends in Los Angeles, CA, and a spark quickly evolved into a relationship.

However, multiple sources have informed several media outlets Lauren and Devin's relationship is over.

An insider told E! News earlier this week, Lauren and Devin were "on and off for a couple of months" before deciding to split once and for all.

"It's hard for Lauren right now because she really loves Devin, but it just was not working and they ultimately decided to split up," the insider added.

Ben told Us that while it's "so cliche to say" he wants her to be "happy," he really means it.

"I just want Lauren to feel fulfilled, joyful and to be celebrated," Ben explained.

"I know these times in life. I haven't had to go through it in the last year and a half, but when breakups happen, it's really raw and hard. So I just hope whatever happens, she can recover with grace. She will. She'll do alright."

Meanwhile, The Bachelor Winter Games participant says he isn't exactly playing the field although he's still single.

"It's not like I haven't [dated] since Lauren. I guess maybe it's just a weird place where I am at in life. I haven't been in Denver, where I live, for the last month, I've been gone, traveling consistently," Ben shared.

"Generous [Coffee] is picking it up, but I'm traveling the world trying to get this coffee company off the ground. I think unfortunately my personal life has maybe gotten pushed behind. I don't want that, I don't desire that, I don't want that long term."

"But it's where I'm at now. So I guess I would say I'm not dating, but am interested in dating, open to dating."

Ben's name has recently been tossed into the mix for The Bachelor's upcoming Season 23 star. Host Chris Harrison, in fact, said he would absolutely love for Ben to come back and find love on the ABC reality series again.
