The Amazing Race featured "Father and Daughter" Arun Kumar and Natalia Kumar surviving a non-elimination leg in Switzerland after disastrous self-navigation during the Season 33 episode that aired Wednesday night on CBS.

The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan informed Arun and Natalia they would keep racing despite a last-place finish at the end of the fifth leg in Lugano, a beautiful town in Ticino, Switzerland.

The Amazing Race broadcast began the first group -- "Best Friends" Ryan Ferguson and Dusty Harris and "Internet Personalities" Kim Holderness and Penn Holderness -- departing the previous Pit Stop in Switzerland at 7:30AM.

Right off the bat, there was a Roadblock with the clue, "Who wants to get down?"

Both Dusty and Kim opted to do the task, with Kim thinking it would be a dancing challenge.

But the adrenaline-pumping Roadblock required the participating Racers to do a 722-foot bungee jump at Verzasca Dam, the highest bungee jump in Europe and the second highest bungee jump in the world that had made Racers scream on the show's fourteenth season many years ago.

Teams were then asked to meet up with the Travelocity Roaming Gnome for this leg of the Race.

Heights are apparently Dusty's biggest fear, but he was ready to push his limits on the show. Kim also seemed quiet and terrified yet prepared to take on any challenge.

The second group to depart was "Twins and Radio Hosts" Marianela "Lulu" Gonzalez and Marissa "Lala" Gonzalez as well as "Flight Attendants" Raquel Moore and Cayla Platt at 7:45AM.

Lala and Cayla opted to do the Roadblock task.

The third group to set out was comprised of "Married Educators" Akbar Cook Sr. and Sheridan Cook as well as Arun and Natalia at 8AM.

Sheri was apparently told she'd have to do the Roadblock because Akbar was "overweight" for the task, and Natalia chose to do this one on behalf of her team.

Sheri, who previously struggled with climbing down a mountain, couldn't believe she'd have to face another heights challenge, and she wasn't pleased to say the least.

Kim and Dusty played a game of "Rock, Paper, Scissors" to see who would jump first since the two teams had worked together to find the jumping destination, and Dusty went first.

Kim felt extremely nervous and way out of her comfort zone, but her husband was so proud to watch her fall and complete the task. Penn even cried at the sight, knowing how hard it was for his life partner to let go and do that.

"I'll bungee jump 12 times before I let someone catch up with me, but I'll never do that again," Kim noted.

After Dusty, Kim and Lala jumped, Sheri arrived at the task before Raquel and Cayla and Arun and Natalia. Sheri therefore stepped off the platform and plunged in fourth place.

"Get me up! Lord, get me up!" Sheri shouted.

Akbar said he had never been more proud of his wife.

After struggling to find the Roadblock destination at the dam, Cayla jumped in fifth place.

Meanwhile, Arun and Natalia were lost and apparently drove about an hour in the wrong direction, which made Natalia start to panic.

"We got extremely lost. That was the one thing we said we needed to pay attention to, was the navigation," Natalia lamented.

Natalia eventually jumped in sixth place, way behind the rest of the pack.

The teams' next set of clues instructed them to drive themselves out to the lakefront and search on foot for the Piazza Carlo Battaglini to find their next clue.

Ryan and Dusty ripped open their next clue in first place, and it became time for them to complete one of two possible Detour tasks: "Bartender Race" or "Sausage in Case."

"Bartender Race" required the teams to gather 12 bottles of wine and 12 bags of chestnuts from local vendors, plus an extra of each for the Travelocity Roaming Gnome. Teams then had to race to the top of a 400-foot staircase and find the head bartender at a cocktail party. If everything arrived in one piece, a team would receive its next clue.

"Sausage in Case" required the teams to squeeze out nine feet of sausage encase and then divide it up into four perfectly-coiled portions. If a butcher approved of the cut, a team would receive its next clue.

Ryan and Dusty chose to do bartender because it appeared to be a physical, rather than mental, task.

But Ryan and Dusty couldn't believe how exhausting the task actually ended up being considering they had to make multiple trips up and down the staircase. At one point, Dusty's leg even cramped up, and he called the task "a monster."

Lulu in Lala, racing in second place, chose to do the sausage task.

Kim and Penn in third place opted to try "Bartender Race," and Sheri and Akbar in fourth place chose to transport the wine bottles and chestnuts as well.

Sheri quickly determined the tiring task was "a mistake," and she accidentally broke a wine bottle during one of her trips up the staircase. Akbar tried to keep his wife motivated, but she was also apparently affected by the heat outside.

"Keep walking. I'm going to go the pace I want to go. My legs are already like mush," Sheri vented to her husband as the former athletes bickered a bit back and forth.

Sheri added, "We should've done the sausage!"

Meanwhile, Raquel and Cayla attempted the sausage task, as did Arun and Natalia.

"We feel that we are letting everybody down. We are beating ourselves," Arun said. "It's emotional just because how many people get the opportunity to do something like this with their daughter?"

Ryan and Dusty finished the Detour task in first place and then they proceeded to Parco Ciani, which would serve as the Pit Stop.

However, there was a catch because the teams had only been given a picture for their clue -- and so they had to decipher what the building was and where it was located.

Lulu and Lala completed the Detour in second place, and then they were followed by Kim and Penn in third place, Sheri and Akbar in fourth place, Raquel and Cayla in fifth place, and finally Arun and Natalia in sixth -- and last -- place.

Ryan and Dusty arrived at the Pit Stop in first place and won a five-night trip for two to the island of Dominica.

"Switzerland has been good to us -- another first place!" Dusty gushed. "But two wins doesn't really mean anything to us, because at any time, The Amazing Race can crush you. It's time to grow and put the work in for these next two legs."

Lulu and Lala stepped on the Pit Stop mat in second place, and Phil informed them that they'd be leaving with Team No. 1 when it became time to depart on the next leg.

Kim and Penn finished the leg in third place and would be departing for the next leg at the second departure time.

Raquel and Cayla beat Akbar and Sheri to the Pit Stop in fourth and fifth place, respectively.

Arun and Natalia finished the leg so late that their greeter had to leave the Pit Stop.

Phil therefore welcomed the "Father and Daughter" team himself but revealed they'd get another shot to compete!

"I'm pleased to tell you that this is a non-elimination leg," Phil announced. "And you do have one more shot. There are three departure times. You will be leaving last, on your own."

Natalia confessed she and her father are "terrible at navigation" and the pressure was definitely on them to do better.

"You will definitely not see us last [in the next leg]!" Natalia insisted.

"Absolutely not," Arun agreed.
