CBS unveiled its Fall 2018 schedule on Wednesday and Season 31 of The Amazing Race and Season 2 of Celebrity Big Brother were not part of the broadcast lineup, with the network announcing both shows will air later in the 2018-2019 television season.

The news isn't unexpected given the most recent 2017-2018 season of The Amazing Race didn't premiere until January 2018 and Celebrity Big Brother's debut season aired in February.

CBS's other big reality competition series, Survivor, however, will air this fall in its usual time period of Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on CBS.

The Amazing Race's upcoming edition will be comprised of former Big Brother houseguests, TMZ previously reported, including Rachel Reilly and James Huling.

But there have been subsequent rumors the Season 31 cast will actually be a mix of Big Brother veterans as well as returning The Amazing Race contestants.

Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson, who met on Big Brother's nineteenth edition last summer and joined The Amazing Race as a dating couple, ending up winning the $1 million on Season 30 of The Race earlier this year. The lovebirds also got engaged in February 2018.

Meanwhile, the first season of Celebrity Big Brother ran as counter-programming to NBC's broadcasts of the Winter Olympics in February and aired its finale on February 25.

Actress Marissa Jaret Winokur was crowned champion of Celebrity Big Brother's inaugural season in America, as she defeated entertainment reporter Ross Mathews for the $250,000 grand prize. (Ross received $50,000 for finishing in second place).

Ross was also named "America's Favorite Houseguest" over actress Shannon Elizabeth and Big Time Rush singer James Maslow.
