Sydney is "a boss woman looking to add romance to her life," according to ABC. The network added how Sydney is "smart, free-spirited and entrepreneurial."

However, Sydney already brought the drama during Episode 2 of The Bachelor by talking behind Maria Georgas' back. And then Sydney threw Maria under the bus by telling Joey about how she thought Maria was a catty "bully" and a manipulative "mean girl."

Sydney told The Bachelor star, "She attacked me and I sat there and maintained my composure. She called me embarrassing, weird and dumb. I ended up walking away. I just couldn't be in that hostile environment."

Maria, in turn, denied the allegations and insisted that if Joey liked Sydney, he couldn't possibly like her, considering they're complete opposites.

Joey was confused about which woman was at fault, and so he decided to give them both a rose and advance them in the competition.

Will Sydney recover and continue to spark a connection with Joey, or will drama seal her fate on The Bachelor's 28th season before she can even secure a one-on-one date?

Until viewers can watch more of Sydney on The Bachelor, let's get to know the bachelorette a little better right now.

The Bachelor bachelorette wants a man who is as adventurous as she is

Sydney is willing to book a same-day international flight and just go.

After finishing college, Sydney traveled the world. She lived in places such as Thailand, Turkey, and Australia.

Sydney proceeded to live in New York City during the coronavirus pandemic, and then she moved to Newport, RI, for a fresh start.

Sydney now considers Newport her "forever home," and she'd like to settle down with her forever person and get engaged.

Sydney opened up her own vintage store in Rhode Island

Sydney started collecting vintage items during her freshman year in college, when she claims she couldn't afford to buy clothes full price.

Sydney's now ex-boyfriend helped her start her business

When Sydney saw a "For Rent" sign on Spring Street in Newport in 2021, her boyfriend at the time called the property's landlord, Scott, according to Newport's What's Up Newp online news publisher.

Scott apparently told Sydney's ex that he wanted the room to have a pulse and was eager to see Sydney's shop in there.

The former couple therefore acted quickly and got the ball rolling on their investment that very night.

Sydney aims gaslighting rant at Maria on social media

After Sydney and Maria's beef was first introduced on Joey's The Bachelor season, Sydney took to Instagram with a lengthy rant about gaslighting.

"Now, if you watch The Bachelor, you might see it in the previous [January 29] episode," Sydney said, seemingly referring to Maria's behavior.

"Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation where an abuser is trying to cause self-doubt and confusion in one's mind. Gaslighters tend to seek control by gaining power, and they do so by distorting their reality so that the victim is forced to question their own judgment and intuition."

Sydney went on to give three examples of gaslighting. Sydney's first example was "denying that something ever happened."

"It could be somebody saying that they never said something... [claiming] it's something against their character. That makes the victim think.... 'Maybe I heard it wrong,'" Sydney said.

The second example was "trivializing your feelings and emotions."

Sydney explained that after a person expresses his or her feelings of hurt, a gaslighter may respond with, "You're making a big deal out of nothing. That's crazy."

Sydney said a gaslighter doesn't want to take responsibility for a mistake, and so the person may shift the blame and undermine the victim's thoughts. The gaslighter may also deflect their own feelings or problems onto the victim.

Sydney ended her rant by telling her followers that their feelings are always valid, no matter what.

"I also want to point out that this is a reality TV show and so drama is exaggerated to make it entertaining," Sydney concluded. "So let's please not give any hate, because at the end of the day, we're all real people."
