The Bravo reality TV star is expecting a son with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Thomas Ravenel.

"I'm just excited about the baby," Dennis, 24, told People. "And I'm happy [our daughter] Kensie will have a friend to play with. It's nice that they will be so close in age."

The new baby is reportedly due in December. He'll join the couple's one-year-old daughter Kensington Calhoun, who was born in March 2014.

"I was surprised," Dennis said of discovering she has another baby on the way. "Thomas and I are always on and off, but we had a whirlwind romance that weekend. That's kind of how we were with the first pregnancy, too. Things were wishy-washy, but we embraced it."

Unfortunately, for the time being, Dennis' relationship with Ravenel is off.

"We are friends," Dennis said. "We communicate and things are pleasant. That's all I can really hope for."

But Ravenel, 53, is still thrilled about the pregnancy.

"The greatest gift thus far in my life has been the privilege of being a father to my daughter Kensie. Now, with a son on the way, I feel doubly blessed. My cup runneth over," he told People.

Dennis also revealed her pregnancy has been pretty easy thus far. She called her experience "more mellow and a little more peaceful" than her first time around. She's also lucky to have had no complications or morning sickness.

The second season of Southern Charm just wrapped in late May, with its reunion airing June 1 on Bravo.
