Shakira has confirmed she will not be returning to The Voice as a coach for this fall's fifth season.

"Not for next season for sure," Shakira told Access Hollywood after Tuesday night's live results show.

"No, because actually, I have to get back to my baby and give him some love and dedicate some time to him and also to my new album that I'm working on currently."

However, Shakira said it's a possibility she will serve as a coach on The Voice again.

"And you never know, maybe for the future -- maybe future seasons -- we'll see [if I come back]," the singer suggested.

Shakira's comments confirm prior reports which claimed the first-time coach would be out after The Voice's currently-airing fourth edition.

"[The show] was so huge for me... I was so happy to do The Voice, but at the same time, I was really struggling with the fact that I had to leave my nest with my little baby," explained Shakira, who gave birth to Milan Pique Mebarak in January.

"He's so little and travels such long distances. He already has more miles than a pilot right now... So now I need to stay with him for a little bit and also work on my next album."

TheWrap reported earlier this week that Christina Aguilera has inked a contract to return as a coach for this fall's fifth season of the NBC reality singing competition, while Cee Lo Green is close to finalizing a deal to also come back as a coach.

The Voice mainstays Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will also reportedly be returning for yet another season -- leaving current coaches Shakira and Usher out of the show's fifth-season coaching roster.

Aguilera, Green, Levine, and Shelton all coached The Voice's first three seasons together. Aguilera and Green's reported returns to the show aren't unexpected, as both had said they were anticipating coming back for a future edition when they announced their departures prior to The Voice's fourth season.
