Mark Burnett is reportedly joining forces with a former vice presidential candidate for a new reality series.

The Survivor producer and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin have been shopping a new docudrama about Palin's home state around Hollywood this week, multiple sources told Entertainment Weekly in a Wednesday report.

Palin met with Fox reality chief Mike Darnell on Tuesday, according to Entertainment Weekly, after which she also spent Tuesday night watching American Idol's live tenth-season performance show.

In addition, Palin pitched the project to ABC and CBS on Wednesday and plans to meet with NBC Universal chairman Jeff Gaspin on Thursday, Entertainment Weekly reported.

"She's pitching a sequel to Commander in Chief," a network executive joked to Entertainment Weekly, referring to the short-lived ABC drama that starred Geena Davis as the first female president.

Another source told Entertainment Weekly the series would be a "Planet Earth type look" at Alaska -- a description that doesn't seem consistent with a docudrama format (produced by the BBC and broadcast in America on Discovery in 2007, Planet Earth was a critically-lauded, 11-episode nature documentary series).
