When The Bachelorette finale airs on Monday, August 7 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC, viewers will watch either Peter Kraus, Bryan Abasolo or Eric Bigger get down on one knee and pop the question to Rachel.

Rachel's proposal was filmed at the San Vicente de la Sonsierra Castle in Spain, according to Life & Style, but the highly-anticipated moment wasn't exactly what The Bachelorette star had envisioned.

The 32-year-old Dallas attorney "fell in love with two of the men," an insider told Life & Style, adding that Rachel was a total mess the night before the proposal.

"The fairy-tale moment that Rachel was dreaming of her whole life was a complete ordeal. It was the proposal from hell," a source told the magazine.

Rachel was reportedly so torn between her Final 2 bachelors that she briefly thought about quitting the process.

"She even considered walking away from the whole thing because she was terrified of making the wrong choice," the source said.

According to a second insider, Rachel expected "this whole thing was going to end differently" in her mind.

Leading up to the big proposal, fans are going to witness Rachel's overnight Fantasy Suite dates with both Peter and Bryan in the upcoming finale episode. Eric's overnight date already aired.

As for the man Rachel chooses, "The winner is extremely handsome and charismatic, but Rachel questioned his sincerity," a second insider told Life & Style. "At times he came off a little too suave, and that made Rachel wonder if he was there for the right reasons."

Meanwhile, a second source shared that Rachel's runner-up "is great on paper."

"He's good-looking, and their chemistry was great -- but he was very nervous about marriage, and that made Rachel question if he was really the one," said the source.
