Peta Murgatroyd is such a busy woman with a new baby and celebrity partner, Nick Viall, to train for Dancing with the Stars that her wedding to fiance Maksim Chmerkovskiy fell pretty low on her list of priorities.

In addition to competing on Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars with The Bachelor's latest star, Peta is caring for her two-month-old son Shai Aleksander at home and attempting to get her post-pregnancy body back in tip-top shape.

Due to her hectic schedule, Peta admitted to People she hasn't had time for wedding plans and therefore attempted to push back her wedding to Maksim, a fellow pro on Dancing with the Stars.

"I tried to put it on hold, to be honest with you," Peta, 30, told the magazine. "I said, 'Baby, let's just drop it for a second. We have a child already. Let's just maybe call it quits at engaged.'"

However, Maksim -- who proposed in early December 2015 -- wasn't going to let that happen.

"He was, like, 'No! I want to marry you.' It was really funny, actually," Peta explained. "He had to sort of coax me back into being ready to get married and do all of this stuff because there is so much to do!"

So the couple's summer wedding is still on as a result of Maksim's insistence, and according to Peta, plans are right on track.

"I'm doing it from over here in Los Angeles so it's a little more stressful, but I do have someone helping," Peta told People. "I hope it all comes together in time!"

Maksim, 37, recently revealed to ABC News his "amazing" summer wedding will take place at a location he had fantasized about since he was a teen: Oheka Castle in Long Island, New York.

The castle has appeared in several films, including Cruel Intentions, and has served as the venue for many celebrity weddings, including those for Joe Jonas and Joey Fatone.

"We went there. It's perfect," Maksim gushed. "We're going to have it for two days. They're closing the whole hotel. It's going to be unbelievable."

Peta disclosed last week that it's going to be a large wedding with 300 people.
