Nick Viall has promised he won't compete on The Bachelorette again -- this time, for Joelle "JoJo" Fletcher.

"My search for love continues, but no longer includes group dates. Jojo's 25 new boy friends can rest easy #TheBachelor #TheBachelorette," Viall tweeted last night after Fletcher was announced the new Bachelorette on After the Final Rose.

Viall also alluded to a certain disappointment -- seemingly another heartbreak -- on Twitter, which could've been a reference to Fletcher's decision to star on The Bachelorette and leave him behind.

"Somethings just have a way of not working out. #optimism," Viall wrote yesterday.

Reports swirled last month Viall had recently begun dating Fletcher. According to a source, he started "hitting up" Ben Higgins' "runner-up" once he discovered she was single, In Touch Weekly reported at the time.

Although Fletcher and Viall live in different states, they were reportedly meeting up in Los Angeles.

Fletcher was blindsided and crushed when Higgins selected Lauren Bushnell over her during The Bachelor's finale, which filmed in November but aired Monday night on ABC.

Viall competed on both Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe's seasons of The Bachelorette, finishing in the runner-up spot both times.

After losing to Josh Murray on Dorfman's edition, Viall memorably reached out to Bristowe after Season 19 Bachelor Chris Soules dumped her on TV. Viall and Bristowe hit it off to the point where he actually went on The Bachelorette to fight for her heart. Despite the fact Bristowe and Viall slept together mid-season, he eventually lost to winner Shawn Booth.

The Bachelorette's twelfth season premieres Monday, May 23 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
