Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey have welcomed a son into the world.

Vanessa and the former The Sing-Off host and Stars Earn Stripes contestant's first child was born Wednesday evening at 6:54PM, weighing eight pounds and nine ounces, People reported.
"Love has truly been redefined for both of us," the pair added.
Nick and the Wipeout co-host -- who wed in a July 2011 ceremony that was later broadcast as a wedding special on TLC -- announced they were expecting a baby in March.
The couple began dating in 2006 and got engaged in November 2010 following a brief breakup in 2009.
In addition to their The Sing-Off and Wipeout credits, both have other reality ties. Nick starred in Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica with former wife Jessica Simpson, while Vanessa -- who dropped her Minnillo name and took Lachey once married -- served as the host of ABC's True Beauty reality competition.
