Paula Abdul and Oprah Winfrey apparently aren't teaming up for a new talk show.

Winfrey's Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) has denied a National Enquirer report that Winfrey gave Abdul her "personal go-ahead" to film a pilot for a talk show for the upcoming new cable network, Access Hollywood reported Tuesday.

"[There's] no truth to the rumor," an OWN representative told Access Hollywood.

Abdul's representative also could not confirm the report when contacted.

Last week, Abdul told the John Jay and Rich radio show that she's currently "developing several television projects" but declined to provide specifics.

"I'm gonna be going back to my roots and doing a TV show that has something to do with my roots," she said at the time. "There's certain things that I'm not able to say yet -- but very, very quickly. Soon."

Winfrey and Discovery Communications have partnered to relaunch the Discovery Health network as OWN in January 2011.

OWN will launch its primetime programming schedule with Behind the Scenes: Oprah's 25th Season -- a new reality series that will document Oprah Winfrey and her staff as they work on the final season of her landmark talk show --  and also air four other reality shows.

However a talk show with Abdul having guests "telling inspirational stories" isn't part of its plans.
