Married at First Sight featured Alyssa Ellman feeling "gypped" with Chris Collette, Lindsey Georgoulis rubbing Olajuwon Dickerson and Katina Goode the wrong way but falling in love with Mark Maher, Michael Morency and Jasmina Outar having their first disagreement, and Noi Phommasak developing strong feelings for Steve Moy during the Season 14 episode that aired Wednesday night on Lifetime.

The five brides who were selected to wed on Season 14 of Married at First Sight are Alyssa, 30, Jasmina, 29, Katina, 29, Lindsey, 34, and Noi, 33.

The five grooms who are starring on the new edition are Chris, 35, Michael, 28, Olajuwon, 29, Mark, 37, and Steve, 38.

The couples matched by Married at First Sight experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Viviana Coles and Pastor Calvin Roberson are Lindsey and Mark, Alyssa and Chris, Jasmina and Michael, Katina and Olajuwon, and Noi and Steve.

The Married at First Sight broadcast began with four of the five couples enjoying their wedding night. Alyssa had decided to sleep in a separate room from Chris.

Michael said he and Jasmina looked really good together, and Lindsey was convinced she had found a good one in Mark, whom she found very kind and handsome.

Olajuwon told the cameras he was totally ready to leave his "playboy ways" behind him.

"When I was in college, I would run around and do whatever I wanted and play with whoever I wanted to," Olajuwon explained. "I didn't care about anybody's feelings except mine. I was very selfish but I am very excited to move forward with my wife and not look back anymore."

Olajuwon shared with Katina how he hoped their marriage would last beyond the Married at First Sight process, and she assured him that she wouldn't run away.

Lindsey explained to Mark how her mother wasn't really nice to her and she was upset her mom had decided not to attend the wedding.

"I'm not hiding anything from my husband. I love a man with good values and a strong heart, so I'm excited to get to know the heart behind the man," Lindsey said.

In turn, Mark revealed to his wife how his mother was severely depressed, a condition that worsened once his father passed away. Mark said his mother constantly wore nightgowns and sometimes didn't even want to get up to go to the bathroom, and Lindsey listened intently.

Lindsey -- who loved Mark's vulnerability and honesty -- let Mark know that she would be there for him and help with the situation, and so Mark noted he couldn't have asked for a better end to his first day with his new wife.

Lindsey saged her hotel room while Mark was taking a shower and opted to sleep in a pajama set, rather than naked, for her first night with her new husband. But she predicted she would quickly get more comfortable around him.

Before going to bed, Michael shared with Jasmina how her father had warned him about Jasmina's alleged bullying nature, but Jasmina promised she's not that bossy of a woman.

Over in Steve and Noi's room, Steve got down on one knee and presented his wife with a Ringpop. Once he saw his wife without makeup on, he said in a confessional, "I am very attracted to my wife. I'm not too nervous about intimacy and how things are going to go."

Steve added, "In my wildest dreams, we would have sex tonight. It's crossed my mind. But by all means, there is no pressure for that."

After Steve and Noi were shown cuddling in bed, Chris admitted to the cameras that he didn't know what was going on and Alyssa's behavior seemed to come out of "left field" after a nice wedding day together.

Chris wondered about the things that "didn't sit right with her" earlier in the evening, but Alyssa didn't want to talk about those issues yet -- not even off-camera.

"I feel uncomfortable in this moment just from some things that were said to me... I really don't want to get into it right now. Let's wait until we can sleep on it and get clear heads and have a little time to ourselves," Alyssa told Chris.

Chris was clearly disappointed about the turn of events because he had wanted to find his "person" through this process, which he still trusted, however, because of the MAFS experts.

"I really want to make this work," Chris lamented.

"I have no idea what I did or said. Maybe my friends said something. I wish I was with somebody who wanted to spend the wedding night with me getting to know each other. This is not the way I expected this to go. This whole day was about making her feel comfortable."

On Day 1 of marriage, Mark and Lindsey said they felt comfortable cuddling with each other, like they had already been doing that for years. And Olajuwon said he was excited to wake up next to such a beautiful woman.

Katina said they would need to work on their cuddling but there wasn't a big problem with that.

Jasmina then shared how she and Michael fell asleep almost immediately on their wedding night due to the exhausting day that had preceded them, and the pair laughed in the morning and got along nicely.

Mark was shocked to discover how much he and Lindsey had in common, and Lindsey explained how she's a "giver" and had been with "a lot of takers" in past relationships. As Mark took in the information, Lindsey said she felt really lucky and knew the experts had matched her with "a good one."

"I think him and I will laugh for the rest of our lives together. I have no doubt that we're going to be a success," Lindsey noted.

Meanwhile, Steve shared how he and Noi felt chemistry and this was something he had always wanted. They didn't have sex during their first night together, but Steve was confident their relationship would get to that point.

Noi was excited for Steve to meet her "diva" dog so she could see how he'd be as a "dog father."

Over in Olajuwon and Katina's room, the pair discussed how they had both been big partygoers with pasts, and neither person seemed to mind.

Alyssa then opened up about how she felt disappointed. The pair apparently sat down together off-camera at 2:30AM and Alyssa allegedly told Chris that they "just didn't vibe."

"I feel blindsided. It's not what I signed up for; it's not what I expected to happen. I don't know what's going to happen at this point... We could be done -- all of 18 hours after the wedding," Chris revealed.

The couple got together to talk over coffee that morning, and Chris admitted he was worried Alyssa had already "checked out" of their marriage.

Alyssa said she felt like they're two "very different people" who didn't have much in common, such as their hobbies and the way they would live their everyday lives.

Alyssa shared how she takes things at a very slow pace and wanted to at least go through the experiment -- as far as possible -- and try to have a good experience "no matter the outcome." Alyssa, however, had little hope their marriage would work out and last.

Each spouse then met with their new in-laws or family members at brunch. Jasmina gushed about how Michael was a gentleman, but she learned how Michael thinks the worst going into every situation -- which she feared would prevent him from opening up to her.

Jasmina also had to get adjusted to living with a man, because she said she had never dated a man who lived in the same state.

Michael shared with Jasmina's family how he has five sisters and had learned how to treat a woman, although he didn't grow up with any successful marriages to admire or aspire to achieve. Jasmina's mother-in-law just wanted to see her daughter protected, and Michael could tell it would take some time to get on her good side.

Noi admitted to Steve's family that Steve seemed hard to read, but they advised her to just ask him questions whenever she wanted. Noi was also a little concerned about Steve being in between jobs.

Noi also said she'd be "devastated" if her marriage didn't work out and such an outcome was difficult for her to even imagine at the time.

Steve shared with Noi's loved ones how he wasn't in a rush to secure a full-time job and freelancing would probably work well throughout his time on the experiment, and so they became a bit worried about how he would support his future children.

Meanwhile, Mark's family told Lindsey to break her husband's guard down, although Mark usually wears his heart on his sleeve and trusts people to a fault. They wanted Lindsey to look out for him, and Lindsey called Mark "intuitive and really caring."

Lindsey quickly won over Mark's loved ones, who appreciated her outgoing personality since she could push Mark's boundaries "in such a good way."

When Mark met up with Lindsey's friends and father, they have him "a survival kit." They told Mark to give Lindsey a snack whenever she got irritable or grumpy, and they also gave him a buzzer that says "no" when pressed.

"When she goes off the deep end, you just have to figure out how to reel her in," Lindsey's father explained, adding, "Her tongue sometimes can be viscous, and I told her that she really needs to watch her words."

Chris was then shown sitting down with Alyssa's mother and friend Taylor, and Chris hoped to receive another perspective. He told Alyssa's mom and best friend how Alyssa had told him off-camera she just wanted to be friends because she didn't think they were compatible.

But his wife's mother assured Chris that he's great and has a good heart. Taylor also called Alyssa "rash," and the two women had hope a friendship could still blossom into a romance.

"Alyssa needs someone like Chris, I think," Alyssa's mother told the cameras.

"He seems like such a wonderful person, and I think that's why they were matched -- because they're a little different and he could definitely center her... I definitely think there's hope."

Alyssa didn't feel comfortable talking about the previous night with Chris' family, and things worsened once Chris' brother Rick admitted Alyssa would probably come second to Chris' work in real estate. Alyssa assumed Chris was missing a good work-life balance.

As for Katina and Olajuwon, they both felt they had made the right decision in marrying a stranger, but Katina hoped Olajuwon was truly ready to be committed to just one woman due to his player ways in the past.

Olajuwon said Katina would probably call him out when necessary and he liked that about her, but he and Katina's friend Jelani butted heads at brunch.

Olajwuon insisted he had signed up for the show for the right reasons, but Jelani seemed skeptical. Jelani reminded that Olajuwon had signed up "for death do us part" and not just a new experience.

"I did have a problem with his bullsh-t answers. It raises questions about what his intentions are and whether or not he's on this just for attention. It seems like he's doing it because he wants to blow up," Jelani complained to the cameras.

After the meetings, Noi was concerned about Steve showing up for their future family and providing her stability financially, and Olajuwon expressed to Katina how Jelani wasn't his biggest fan. Katina hoped she wasn't missing something about her husband.

The couples then each received a gift basket on Day 2 of marriage informing them that they would be traveling to San Juan, Puerto Rico for their honeymoon.

Lindsey had traveled to Puerto Rico a whopping seven times, but she was excited to visit with her new husband. Mark seemed impressed by Lindsey's adventurous side and her ability to speak other languages.

Meanwhile, Chris was prepared to give Alyssa time to open up, but he wasn't convinced she was willing to try at their marriage at all.

Chris suggested they could go shopping in Puerto Rico, but she said she'd prefer the beach. Alyssa admitted Chris was trying to "yes" her to death by being overly agreeable, which also annoyed her.

Alyssa apparently planned on spending most of her time in Puerto Rico away from Chris. She was fine with them doing different activities.

"It's frustrating, it's disappointing, it's not what I wanted. I'm not sure if she came into this with the right intention, because in this moment, I feel like she's already written me off," Chris lamented in a confessional.

"We'll see what happens in Puerto Rico, but it's making it hard to try."

Once the couples arrived in Puerto Rico, Lindsey and Mark hopped onto their own private bus, which made the other couples feel a little awkward.

Lindsey apparently told Olajuwon and Katina to speak Spanish while in Puerto Rico, and Olajuwon vented about how they're adults who can make their own decisions. Katina said Lindsey had rubbed them the wrong way and she had heard Lindsey say about Olajuwon, "I want to fight him."

Mark said he wasn't going to let anything spoil his honeymoon, but he and Lindsey were clearly on the outs of this group. Lindsey accused Olajuwon of getting "aggressive" with her at the airport, which really triggered her.

Alyssa also walked right by Chris in the security line, which made him feel like an outcast as well.

Once everyone got settled into their hotel rooms, Lindsey said Olajuwon had shaken her to her core and she was so happy to be with Mark, who was acting "supportive and nurturing." Lindsey said Mark had stood by her and made her feel safe and cared for.

Lindsey and Mark chose not to join the other couples for drinks by the pool, but Mark showed up by himself at one point to hopefully bond with his castmates.

Mark explained to the group how Lindsey operates "at a 10," which can press other people's buttons, and so he apologized for what had happened on his team.

Mark asked everyone to rise above the drama and not feel tension "over little things," and everyone agreed.

Olajuwon and Mark toasted to forgiveness and moving on; however, Katina suggested how she could only handle Lindsey in doses due to her overwhelming personality.

Later that day, Noi said she was developing strong feelings for Steve and she felt a lot of chemistry with him, and Jasmina was excited to start making memories with her husband.

But then Michael and Jasmina had their first disagreement. Michael was talking about how he and Jasmina might handle conflict differently, but Jasmina said she wasn't thinking about conflict at the moment.

Jasmina said she wanted to live in the moment and not invite negativity into her marriage by already thinking about future conflict. Jasmina and Michael had different mindsets, and Jasmina was shocked they were having this type of conversation so soon.

"Michael thinks the worst in situations, and I do think in the future, it could be a problem," Jasmina noted.

Michael told the cameras that he's "a realist" and he wanted a wife who could challenge him. Once Michael had that challenge right in front of him, he had to assess whether this was what he actually wanted.

But over in Lindsey and Mark's hotel room, Lindsey cried about how the experts had seemed to match her with the "perfect" person for her.

"I feel Mark's support consistently. I love his positivity. I think I already love him! And that sounds crazy, but we do seem like we're both crazy," Lindsey gushed.

Mark promised Lindsey they'd be together forever, just the two of them and five cats!

That night, Alyssa wanted to sleep apart from Chris again, and he seemed flabbergasted by "the ridiculous notion." Chris said he and Alyssa had spent about 40 minutes together so far on their honeymoon.

Chris accused Alyssa of having tapped out, and he complained, "There was never a point in this process where you put in an effort."

"I think you went into this expecting the perfect person," Chris told his wife.

"No, I don't expect the perfect person," Alyssa argued.

"And when you got somebody that wasn't, you said, 'I'm done. I'm not even going to take any steps to learn something,'" Chris insisted.

After Alyssa claimed that wasn't the case at all.

"I feel gypped. You feel gypped, and this sucks for the both of us," Alyssa griped.

"Yeah, [I gave it a shot]. Do you think I'm lying?" Alyssa demands.

"There has been nothing but problems from almost the second that we met. There's been nothing but differences in our core values, beliefs, everyday life and personalities and hobbies."

Chris accused Alyssa of not giving their relationship a real chance, but she claimed otherwise.

"Do you think I'm lying?" Alyssa asked Chris.

"Yeah," Chris replied. "There was never a point in this process where you put in an effort."

"That is not true," Alyssa said. "And I am not going to stand here on camera while you say that."

Alyssa walked away from the conversation and vented about how Chris had called her a liar.

Once the pair reunited inside their hotel room, Alyssa just asked for mutual respect even though she clearly thought they weren't compatible.

"I find out that you're saying something to my family and my best friend, it's not being respectful," Alyssa said,  seemingly referring to how Chris had told her loved ones that Alyssa just wanted to be friends with him.

"I would never do that to you, and I didn't do that to you."

Chris said he wasn't going to lie to Alyssa's mom and friend, but Alyssa insisted, "It's not lying!"

"If they said, 'Hey, how's it going?' How would I respond to, 'How was your wedding day?'" Chris asked.

Alyssa noted how Chris could have said, "It wasn't the best," without revealing specific details.

"You're saying something that was supposed to be confidential," Alyssa complained. "I mean, this situation isn't fun and it's not good. Dude, we are not compatible! I don't want to argue anymore! Why don't we just stop and say, 'This isn't going to work?' And be respectful."

Chris noted how they looked compatible on paper but he had been paired with someone who apparently had "zero interest in trying."

Alyssa hoped Chris would show her some respect, and with that being said, Chris agreed to give Alyssa the space she wanted. He felt, however, he hadn't disrespected Alyssa and that she may have been "gaslighting" him.

Chris confessed that he felt frustrated because Alyssa had already written him off. Chris wasn't sure whether he should try to save this marriage since Alyssa didn't seem to like him at all.

And before going to bed that night, Olajuwon asked Katina to let her walls down and not dwell on the situation with Lindsey after Katina had called Lindsey "shady." Katina said she was afraid to let her guard down and then be disappointed, but Olajuwon asked her not to be scared.
