Korey posted two photos of the couple hugging and captioned them, "Alright so I figured I'd get up here and address the question I get at least 20 times a day. Are me and Olivia still together?"

"I feel like I owe everyone an answer so the answer unfortunately is no we are not anymore," he confirmed, adding a broken-heart emoji.

"Everyone was wondering why I was distant at our friendsgiving in [Atlantic City, New Jersey] last week and that's why."

Korey had apparently been sitting on this news for a while.

"It took me all the way to now to say something because I didn't want to believe it was real but this was a mutual decision to take a step back in our relationship and just be friends for now," Korey explained.

"My time with Liv taught me so much about myself. I realized I can be vulnerable again and truly care for someone."

Korey assured fans that his time with Olivia on Love Island was real and "everything was perfect" at that time.

"And I can say that was honestly the happiest moment of my life," Korey shared.

"Unfortunately that's not real life and In the real world, we're now faced with real world challenges. Some that we couldn't overcome."

However, Korey said "no one can ever take" away the experience they had together on the show. He also went on to gush about Olivia despite their breakup.

"This girl is seriously one of the most beautiful people I've ever met inside and out. I will always respect her and care for her," Korey shared.

"I can't even begin to explain how thankful I am for the support we received as a couple on the show and after the show. But our journeys unfortunately have to go in separate directions for now."

Korey expressed love to all their fans and added, "I can only hope we'll receive the same amount of support as individuals."

"This goes for anyone who's going through a breakup currently or has been through one," he noted. "You have to realize that you aren't always the problem."

Korey elaborated on how "people change" and everyone is "human."

"We're all still growing and that's perfectly ok. What you can't do is let past trauma harden your heart because all that will do is keep you away from meeting the right person when the right time comes," he wrote.

"All you can do is appreciate the good times with each other and keep it pushin."

Korey received an envelope with a $100,000 cash prize inside, and he was given the option to keep the money for himself or split it with Olivia during Love Island's finale. Corey chose to split the money, and so he and Olivia both left with $50,000.

Love Island featured a group of single "Islanders" trying to find friendship and love while hoping to win the heart of home viewers.

The Islanders were required to couple-up every few days, and those who failed to find a romantic partner were at risk of being dumped from the island.

Challenges and dramatic twists came about as the Islanders formed alliances and relationships in an effort to win a lasting relationship as well as the grand cash prize.
