After the convicts are released from prison and unite with their significant others for the first time outside of supervised visits, the couples try to navigate the real world together.

At this point in the season, couples are looking to marry, make love for the first time, or just get through life one day at a time in attempt to leave each convict's addiction or struggle in the past.

The latest episode starred Scott and Lizzie from Oxnard, CA; Clint and Tracie from Hobbs, NM; Marcelino and Brittany from Las Vegas, NV; Caitlin and Matt from Auburn, WA; and Megan and Michael from Fort Worth, TX -- with Michael's wife, Sarah, making for a dramatic love triangle.

Below is an update on each Love After Lockup couple, according to WE tv's Friday night episode:

SCOTT AND LIZZIE

Lizzie had been arrested for DUI and bribery and spent nine years behind bars.

Lizzie was enjoying life after just getting released from prison two days earlier. For example, she and Scott had their first date the previous night.

However, the date apparently didn't go well because Scott and Lizzie discussed how he enabled her drug habit.

To make it up to her, Scott decided to take her on a surprise trip after already promising her a car and an apartment.

Jazmyne, Lizzie's daughter, was upset her mom was using Scott for money and said it wasn't right. Jazmyne wanted Lizzie to be "an independent woman," and she was just "waiting for the right time to break them apart."

Scott was then shown taking Lizzie to a farm with horses and butterflies. He planned to ask her something important, and he said Lizzie was totally clueless about it.

"I love Lizzie. I think she's the greatest thing that ever came in my life," Scott told the cameras. "I wake up in the morning and I am happy now."

Scott then proposed marriage to Lizzie despite not knowing her for a long time.

"Will you marry me?" Scott asked his love.

Lizzie acknowledged she loved him but getting married would be crazy and it was "just a little too soon."

Lizzie hesitated and seemed like she was going to say, "No," but then she told Scott, "Yes, I don't know. Yes!"

This was the first time Lizzie -- who had been proposed to 14 times -- actually accepted a man's hand in marriage. She's a self-declared commitment phobe, but she could genuinely see a future with Scott.

CLINT AND TRACIE

Tracie served eight years in prison for fraudulent checks and probation violation.

Clint said getting married the previous night was the happiest night of his life, but then Tracie went missing with his rental car, cash, and phone, and he said things had turned into a nightmare.

Tracie did, however, leaving her wedding ring and clothes behind.

"I feel like I'm going to throw up. I have a huge pounding headache. I can't think straight; I can't eat and I can't sleep. It's devastating, like, shattering my heart knowing she's not with me and she's not coming back with me," Clint cried to the cameras.

"I'm hanging on by a thread right now with her."

Clint said Tracie probably just wanted to feed her addiction and so she did "nothing wrong."

Clint called Tracie crying and gushed about how much he loved her in a voicemail, but she didn't answer or call back. Clint realized his father had been correct in saying their relationship was never going to work out.

But Clint insisted he'd go to the ends of the earth for Tracie.

MARCELINO AND BRITTANY

Brittany served two years in prison for conspiracy to commit burglary.

Brittany had been out of prison for three weeks and was preparing to be reunited with her son, whom she hadn't seen in more than a year.

She felt so excited but nervous at the same time, especially since Marcelino and her ex, Tito, were both going to be in the same room and part of the same gathering.

Brittany feared Tito was going to try to keep her son from her.

Tito had served 11 years in prison for manufacturing meth. He and Brittany had been happy together in their first year but then Brittany said she relapsed after eight years of sobriety and things crumbled within a month or two.

At the time, Brittany was apparently arrested for multiple felonies and was therefore separated from her child.

During Brittany's first year in jail, she got to see her son through monitors, but for her second year of incarceration, her parents took him to Alaska and so Brittany never saw him.

Tito's girlfriend Brandi was also there for the meeting. Tito tried to be hospitable and told the cameras there was "no need for hostility," and Marcelino admitted he was trying to "kill [Tito] with kindness."

Everyone got along, and Brittany was so thankful for that. She and Tito also came to an agreement their son would get to spend a weekend soon with his biological mom.

Later on, Brittany was shown trying on engagement rings and wedding dresses.

However, Amanda was present at the bridal shop when Brittany tried on gowns, which brought back old feelings for the both of them since they had previously dated.

Brittany and Amanda were friends, but it was clear Amanda missed the reality TV star as her lover.

Amanda then tried on a sexy wedding dress herself to show Brittany what she might be missing.

Brittany felt "guilty" because she was still attracted to Amanda and cared for her.

Brittany noted she needed to wait for the right time to tell Marcelino about her past with Amanda.

MEGAN AND MICHAEL (PLUS HIS WIFE SARAH)

Michael served two years in prison for parole violation.

Megan said Michael was doing an amazing job surprising her with a card and hotel.

Although they got engaged while Michael was in prison, Megan wanted a proper, more romantic proposal, and she was hoping it would happen at Niagara Falls, NY.

Megan then discussed how although she's a virgin, she's not afraid of her sexuality and sensuality.

Meanwhile, Sarah said she missed Michael, her husband, because she was used to seeing him every day. Sarah didn't know where Michael was and worried about whom he might be with.

Sarah was hoping Michael was at least staying out of trouble.

Sarah told her friend Emmy over lunch that Michael asked for space, but since they were married, everything was going to be fine.

Sarah then informed Emmy "it's possible" she's pregnant because she was apparently two weeks late.

Emmy was mad at Michael, but Sarah said she had talked to Michael about having another child for three years.

"It doesn't seem crazy. We are going to be fine," Sarah noted. "I know we are going to be fine."

While Sarah was having this conversation with her friend, Michael was shown joining Megan in her hotel room.

Michael said Megan was his best friend and they were "inseparable." They had dated for a year and a half, but he felt like he had known her his whole life.

Michael said Megan lifts him up when he's done, and he gushed about how beautiful she looked. Megan then noted how she had been waiting quite a long time for this moment in their relationship.

"I definitely want to impress Michael. I'm very competitive. I want to be the best Michael has ever had. I'm ready to lose my virginity; I'm ready to have sex. Bring it on!" Megan told the cameras.

Michael wasn't worried about his first time with Megan being great because he said they had a strong mental connection and sex is mostly mental.

"When Megan finds out I'm married to Sarah, I think she's going to be hurt. But I also believe that she's going to know what we've got is real and that I'm not lying," Michael said in a confessional.

"A virgin is going to be scared and shy. But I know I'm going to take my time and please her in every way, make her explode like a gusher."

CAITLIN AND MATT

Matt spent two years in jail for possession of firearms and stolen property.

Matt had been out of prison for two weeks at the time of filming.

Matt, who's had an issue with drugs and the party lifestyle in the past, was planning on spending some time with his boys, but Caitlin needed Matt to change his ways for the better if they were going to end up together.

Regardless, Caitlin gave Matt her blessing to enjoy a night out with his boys because she didn't want to be viewed as controlling or needy.

Matt said he should be able to drink and get a little wild -- but that he needed to avoid meth.

Matt later admitted to his friends that he wasn't looking for a job and hadn't even been thinking about working full-time.

He said he had spent six years out of the last seven behind bars and so had some major adjustments to make. Matt just wanted to find a job he'd really like and enjoy.

"I was committed to being a career criminal," Matt confessed, before his friends said they were "skeptical" of this woman in his life because they didn't know her at all.

Matt came home late and left a mess in the kitchen, which upset Caitlin and her mother.

Caitlin was concerned, however, if she tightened the leash, Matt might leave her.

Caitlin therefore didn't know what to do and was "petrified" to stress Matt out and put pressure on him to get his life together. Caitlin said she'd do whatever she could to correct Matt's behavior without pushing him away.
