The couples who star on the spinoff are the love triangle of Megan, Michael, and Sarah; Clint and Tracie; Marcelino and Brittany; Scott and Lizzie; and Andrea and Lamar.

These couples, whether together or estranged, will continue to "face parole restrictions, temptation, and turbulence in their lives outside of prison walls," according to WE tv.

Former inmates Tracie, Brittany, Michael, Lizzie and Lamar will also be shown facing new challenges throughout the course of the season -- from raising children and buying first homes to finding work and trying to stay sober.

Below is the latest on each couple, love triangle or exes, according to the debut broadcast of Love After Lockup: Life After Lockup:

MEGAN, MICHAEL and SARAH

Megan, a 29-year-old who works in home health care, was still talking to Michael, a 27-year-old rapper who was married to Sarah, a 24-year-old server.

In fact, Megan drove to pick Michael up from jail once he was released. Also waiting at the parking lot happened to be Michael's mother and sister, who didn't like or approve of Megan.

Michael's family apparently wanted Michael and Sarah to stay together, married, for the sake of their children.

Megan confronted Michael's mother and sister and said that although she found out Michael was married and had lied to her, she couldn't just shut her feelings of love off.

Megan said Michael wanted to make things work with her and that's why she was still around, but Michael's mother pointed out he was still married to someone else.

Megan argued that Michael and Sarah fought all the time and she wanted better for him, but Michael's mother said problems didn't really start in his relationship with Sarah until Megan came around.

Megan was not welcome at the home of Michael's mother.

Once Michael was released from jail with a GPS system that would be attached to his ankle for 90 days, Megan was so excited to see her love interest again.

Michael was glad to be set free, but he wasn't able to drink alcohol or hang out with other felons. He knew he was basically still locked up.

Michael's family advised him "to do away" with Megan, but he still cared about her and was going to do what he wanted to do.

After Michael hugged and said goodbye to his mother and sister, Megan asked Michael why he had lied to her for two years about having a wife.

Michael insisted he was being "genuine" with Megan the whole time but had to take care of his daughter, which meant staying in touch with Sarah. Megan demanded to know more; she wanted to know everything that was going on.

Megan had a secret to tell Michael, but first, she wanted answers from him.

Megan and Michael then went out for lunch, and Michael explained he had hidden the truth from her only to protect and secure his relationship with his daughter. Michael suggested his dynamic with Sarah existed for the sake of his child.

"I gave you my virginity and you was married," Megan told Michael.

Michael insisted he never tried to manipulate Megan and he was "going through hell" with Sarah. Michael apparently didn't feel it was cheating when he wasn't technically with his wife.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Megan asked.

"Because I was dealing with everything myself," Michael replied.

Michael admitted he loved Sarah but he was not in love with her. Michael said their marriage was "toxic" and they had "major issues."

Megan asked Michael if he planned to stay married to Sarah, and Michael said, "No." Michael, in fact, said he wanted to hire a lawyer and go through with a divorce.

Meanwhile, Sarah was shopping for baby clothes with her friend when Michael's sister Dayday informed her via text Michael and Megan were together in Michigan.

Sarah acknowledged it was hard to picture Michael with another woman because he kept telling her that he wanted to work things out. She was about to "explode."

Sarah then called Michael and slammed him for spending time with his "girlfriend." Sarah was tired of being "disrespected" and "played" by him, but Michael asked her to chill out.

"How dare you get me to this point!" Sarah vented to cameras, before screaming at Michael, "Have that damn b-tch! I'm done!"

ANDREA and LAMAR

Andrea, a 39-year-old Mormon property manager, is married to Lamar, a 42-year-old student and rapper. Lamar was back behind bars for seven months for probation violation and having a gun on him at the time, and so he was incarcerated at the time of filming.

Lamar, however, was scheduled to be released soon, and Andrea was thrilled. She intended to drive two hours to pick Lamar up.

Andrea's children, 17-year-old son Tennison, and 14-year-old daughter Nyla, worried about Lamar coming home.

Nyla previously accepted Lamar into her family as a father figure and almost changed her name to take his, but once he was taken to jail again, she felt angry, hurt and betrayed.

Lamar's incarceration was very hard on Nyla apparently, and her mother said Nyla stopped trusting African American men in general as a result.

Andrea said she and her children showed Lamar so much love only to be disappointed and neglected in return. She ended up bursting into tears inside of a store.

Andrea lost the man she had depended on, but she said she became a stronger person as a result and Lamar would have to accept the changes she's made.

Andrea was then shown picking up Lamar from prison. She gushed about how she had missed him "so much," and he felt bad about having disappointed her and her kids.

Lamar insisted he'd never return to jail. But instead of asking Andrea about how she was or how her children were, he asked about what had happened to his car.

Andrea explained she had to sell Lamar's car in order to get by financially, and he was pissed off. He said he worked hard to get that Mercedes-Benz.

However, Andrea was just joking the whole time, and Lamar looked forward to enjoying Andrea and their family like he used to. Andrea hoped her kids would forgive Lamar and move forward.

CLINT and TRACIE

Clint is a 38-year-old assistant manager from Hobbs, NM, and he's married to Tracie, a 38-year-old whom spent nine months behind bars for fraudulent checks and probation violation.

Tracie had one day left on parole and was living with Clint. She was hoping to speak with Clint's mother and become the daughter-in-law she always wanted.

But Clint's mother, Alice, was wary of Tracie and feared the former addict would resort back to her lying and stealing ways. Clint wasn't sure his mother would even meet with Tracie after all the felon had put her son through.

Clint also didn't think Tracie had a good grasp on how to stay out of trouble.

Alice had "boundaries" and said Tracie had a lot to prove to her. She didn't know Tracie at all, and she didn't want to meet her. In fact, Clint's mother didn't even want Tracie on her property.

"You can go tell her whatever because, basically, I am through with it all," Alice told him.

Alice nearly felt offended by having her son even attempt a gathering with Tracie involved.

Clint -- who told the cameras if Tracie got locked up again, they'd be over with -- told Tracie that his mother wasn't in a good mood and they should try another time.

Tracie was clearly disappointed Alice wasn't willing to forgive her and give her another chance.

The difficult moment made Tracie struggle with her decision to stay sober because she had always resorted to drugs for an escape from her problems and sadness. And this situation in particular made Tracie very sad.

BRITTANY and MARCELINO

Marcelino, a 40-year-old poker player from Las Vegas, NV, is married to Brittany, a 28-year-old homemaker from Las Vegas who recently welcomed a child.

Brittany had served two years in prison for conspiracy to commit burglary, and she was finally off parole.

It had been one year since she Brittany released from prison, and she said she crammed about 10 years of adulthood into one year. Not only did she welcome a child, but she got a puppy and bought a house, etc.

Marcelino was dedicated to establishing a career in poker in order to support his family, but Brittany needed his help during the day because she had a lot to handle.

Brittany was tired raising two children at home. She felt guilty about complaining but she woke up every day dragging with no energy.

Brittany needed more support from Marcelino, but she was also demanding he accept her girlfriends, and Marcelino argued he was in a relationship with Brittany -- not her friends.

SCOTT and LIZZIE

Scott, a 51-year-old trucker driver from Oxnard, CA, and Lizzie, a 41-year-old from Portage, WI, had parted ways, and both individuals were looking to date again.

Scott and Lizzie were both trying to move on, so they were shown going on blind dates.

Scott revealed on his date his ex-girlfriend had been incarcerated for 10 years and used him for money -- $142,000 to be exact. Scott even shared how his ex had been a heroin addict.

The woman told Scott that he needed therapy and was far too easy to take advantage of. She determined Scott was not the man for her but, with a little work, he could make a great partner to somebody someday.

Meanwhile, Lizzie opened up to her date about how she had been a heroin addict and in jail for 10 years. The date seemed to go okay, but it ended with the man asking to split the bill.

Lizzie was offended because she was looking for a man who could support her.

Lizzie told her co-worker she was looking for an honest, caring, alpha, handsome, fun man who loves animals and is Christian. She also wanted the man to have a "bad boy" type of side.
