Lindsay -- who hasn't competed on Dancing with the Stars since Season 30 in Fall 2021 -- admitted that she loves the show but fans probably won't see her on Season 35 later this year.

"I've always said that I will literally never say never because I love the show. There's so many aspects of it that I miss," Lindsay, 32, told Us Weekly.

"In a perfect world, I could do the show and also do all the other things I have and also take my kids to all of their things and also be home."

Lindsay shares daughters Sage, 5, and June, 3, and son Hayes, 2 months, with her husband Samuel Cusick.

"But I think right now, I am just absolutely loving and embracing this phase of life that we're in," Lindsay explained.

Lindsay pointed out how Sage is about to begin school in Utah and she wants to be fully present in her kids' lives.

If Lindsay agrees to be a pro partner on Dancing with the Stars, she'll have to live and work in California, spending most of her time training a celebrity how to ballroom dance.

"I've got my girls in so many different things, and I love being there for all of those things," Lindsay gushed.

"I love being able to be fully present and just embrace this phase of life."

Lindsay noted, however, that she's "feel really grateful for all the years" that she had on Dancing with the Stars.

Lindsay competed on a total of 10 Dancing with the Stars seasons. She joined the show for Season 16 and then to a break before returning for Season 21.

Lindsay proceeded to impress fans with her choreography from Seasons 22 through 30, with the exception of Season 29.

"I feel like there's a lot of really awesome things that I'm doing that are fulfilling me and helping me with a creative outlet and making me feel like I'm creating something for myself," Lindsay shared of her reasoning for not jumping at the chance to appear on Dancing with the Stars' next season.

"So, yes, I think what she said kind of sums it up."

But Lindsay reiterated how she'll "never say never" to a Dancing with the Stars comeback.

"Because I love the show so much and getting to do [Dancing with the Stars' fan convention] was such a fun reminder of that passion," Lindsay shared.

"I think as of now, no, I'm really just loving where we're at and being able to be here with my family and doing all the things that we're doing."

Lindsay also criticized the expectation for new mothers to "bounce back" quickly in terms of career and fitness postpartum.

"I think one of the biggest things that I live by across the board is embracing every stage of life that I am in," Lindsay told the magazine.

"I think it's so easy in this culture to feel like we need to bounce back from whatever it is to always stay in this pristine premium phase of life."

Former pro Sharna Burgess also recently discussed if she'd like to return to Dancing with the Stars, which is set to premiere Tuesday, September 15 on ABC.
