Lance Armstrong won't be dancing on TV any time soon.

The disgraced former professional cyclist has turned down an offer to appear on the upcoming sixteenth season of ABC's Dancing with the Stars, which is an apparent trend for the athlete.

"Lance has been offered the show each and every year since its inception. Although flattered he has passed on their generous offers," Armstrong's representative told Entertainment Weekly.

Sources told EW that Armstrong is one of the few "big get" high-profile celebrities who basically has an open-ended invitation to compete on the reality dancing competition.

Dancing with the Stars' interest in Armstrong was presumably recently increased in light of his recent confession to talk show host Oprah Winfrey that although he had repeatedly denied performance-enhancing drug allegations throughout his seven Tour de France victories, he did in fact doping for years.

According to CBS News, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency accused the cyclist of "masterminding a long-running doping scheme" last year, and Armstrong was therefore stripped of his Tour titles, lost the majority of his endorsements and was forced to leave the Livestrong charity he had founded in 1997. He was also issued a lifetime ban from professional cycling.
