Kristina Schulman apparently faced overwhelming backlash after giving Blake Horstmann her rose on Monday night's Bachelor in Paradise episode, and now, she's standing up for herself and her decision.

Kristina took to Twitter and Instagram on Tuesday to fire back at trolls who apparently flipped out after she gave Blake her rose during the second Rose Ceremony of Bachelor in Paradise's sixth season.

She started out her message by saying, "(About last night): Thank you to those who continue to support the franchise and the love and lasting relationships that come from it #BachelorInParadise."

Kristina then quoted Yung Pueblo by writing the following: "Ask yourself often: Am I observing the situation accurately or am I projecting how I feel onto what is happening?"

Kristina went on to write, "After last nights episode of Bachelor in Paradise, I was in shock about how much hate mail I got. But that's not what struck me the most -- what did, is how many Blake haters are out there (who don't even know him personally!)"

"I wasn't sure if people messaged me because they hated my actions or simply because they hated him and projected it onto me."

Kristina's choice to save Blake from elimination resulted in Kevin Fortenberry, Wills Reid, and Cam Ayala going home.

Kristina continued in her post, "Either way, we, as contestants on this show opened up our lives, our hearts, and minds for your enjoyment (and criticism) but death threats because you don't like someone is just UNACCEPTABLE."

"If you can't handle it, turn off your TV or watch FRIENDS on Netflix," she concluded. "Thank you to those who CHOOSE to spread love and not hate."

Kristina's motive for giving her only rose to Blake was unclear in Monday night's episode.

Although Blake was under scrutiny by his castmates for having slept with Kristina and Caelynn Miller-Keyes on back-to-back nights at the 2019 Stagecoach music festival, Kristina told Blake that everyone in Paradise deserved to find love, including him, because he's a good person.

But then Kristina suggested to cameras she had chosen to keep Blake around out of revenge.

Given Blake had just lost Hannah Godwin to Dylan Barbour and he was pretty miserable and lonely at the Mexican resort, Kristina laughed about how Blake decided to stay in his own "personal hell" by accepting her rose.

"Yeah, that's kind of mean," Kristina said with a smile. "But it's Blake we're talking about. The temptation is too good."

Some fans have been questioning, however, whether Kristina secretly wanted to keep the door open so she could potentially resume her romance with Blake at a later date.

(Before their night together at Stagecoach, the couple had briefly dated but things didn't work out).

When Kevin, Wills and Cam were sent packing, each guy seemed pissed Blake got to stay in his place.

Wills told the cameras, "Kristina is still living in the past when she could live in the future, and she didn't want to do that. Kristina talks about how she wants to start over and start new, but then why pick someone you have drama with and a past with? I don't know. That's a question only she can answer."

Cam said following his exit, "Women claim they want a good guy, but when one appears right in front of them, they want the assh-le. I came here for a pure experience and boys like Blake get rewarded, and that's just not me, so it's pretty messed up."

And Kevin was shown saying, "The fact Blake got a rose is hysterical to me -- he's already slept with every single one of them!"

"The entire time of Paradise, I was in for the genuine, authenticity part, the actual romanticism part. Maybe that was my downfall."

Bachelor in Paradise airs its next Season 6 episode on Tuesday night at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
