Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy will be dancing together in a setting other than Dancing with the Stars.

The once-engaged pair of professional dancers have inked contracts to star in a three-week run of Luis Bravo's Forever Tango on Broadway, People reported.

"It is such an honor to have been given this opportunity to star on Broadway again," Smirnoff said in a statement obtained by People. "Forever Tango is an incredible production and the Tango is an intense, sensuous dance of passion. Asking Maks to join me was in and of itself intense, so I figured by opening night, it would be explosive!"

Smirnoff and Chmerkovskiy, who originally met in a Broadway production of Burn the Floor, will reportedly be performing at the Walter Kerr Theatre from July 9 through July 28.

The couple got engaged on New Year's Day in 2009 in Las Vegas but announced they were breaking up in September of that same year.
