Julianne Hough will soon be walking down the aisle.

Hough, 27, and pro hockey player Brooks Laich, 32, recently got engaged in Coeur d'Alene, ID, where her grandparents currently reside.

Hough, a Dancing with the Stars judge and two-time show champion, made the announcement on Instagram Tuesday. She posted a photo of herself jumping into Laich's arms while staring at her engagement ring.

"We are overwhelmed with joy and excitement to share with you our recent engagement! #fiance #love," Hough wrote.

Laich, who plays for the Washington Capitals, shared the same photo and caption on his own Instagram account.

Hough called Laich the love of her life in December 2014. She's gushed about how she and her fiance were open and honest with each other from the very beginning, while Laich has called Hough a loving sweetheart and himself "a lucky guy" for getting to be with her.

The couple had been set up by mutual friend Teddy Sears, an actor who's also from Washington. Sears shot the movie Curve with the pro dancer and introduced them at his own wedding reception in December 2013.

Before Laich, Hough dated American Idol host Ryan Seacrest for about three years, however, they split in March 2013.

Both Laich and Hough will be getting married for the first time, but Hough was previously engaged once before to dancer Zach Wilson. Hough and Wilson called off their engagement and broke up in 2007.
