Josh Murray has been accused of being obsessed with maintaining a perfect on-screen image, but after appearing on Bachelor in Paradise, he's apparently over it.

Murray was criticized by his castmates on the recent season of Famously Single for always needing to present himself as a prim and proper gentleman on TV, which to many people, came across fake and disingenuous.

Well now that Murray's actions  -- or unflattering edit -- have made him a polarizing character on Bachelor in Paradise's currently-airing third season, he seems to be embracing this new bad-boy persona.

"It's okay if the rest of the world thinks I'm a douchebag, as long as she likes me," Murray captioned an Instagram photo of himself with BiP bachelorette Amanda Stanton.

Murray added the hashtag: "#SorryShesSoCuteIJustWannaEatHerFace."

Murray's arrival in Paradise immediately caused waves when he asked Stanton out on a date. The beautiful single mom had already been the object of Nick Viall's affection, and as fans know, the two men previously fought over Andi Dorfman on The Bachelorette. (And Murray won her over).

Viall appeared crushed that Murray managed to steal his girl once again, and the situation only worsened when Stanton and Murray immediately started acting like a couple and making out in public at every opportunity.

Bachelor Nation has since questioned whether Murray's intentions were to get to know Stanton better because he was sincerely interested or gain satisfaction by winning another battle against Viall.

Murray is also facing scrutiny over Dorfman's It's Not Okay tell-all in which she claims he was verbally abusive and controlling when they were engaged. Dorfman called their relationship "volatile" and "f-cked up," yet Murray insists the book is "fiction" and full of nothing but lies.
