Josh Murray's dog Sabel has sadly passed away.

The former The Bachelorette winner and Bachelor in Paradise suitor lost his beloved bulldog just two days before Christmas.

Murray revealed Friday on social media that Sabel was going to the vet and he was "praying" everything would be okay. However, several hours later, Murray shared the sad news on both Twitter and Instagram that Sabel had died.

"Today I lost my best friend," Murray captioned a photo of Sabel and himself on December 23 without revealing the cause of death. "A huge piece of me is gone. I miss her so much."

Murray publicly declared his love for Sabel frequently, both on television and on social media. During one roadtrip he had with his dog, Murray called Sabel "my everything."

And Murray wasn't the only person who fell in love with Sabel. His rumored ex-fiancee, Amanda Stanton, appeared to adore the dog, as did her two little girls Kinsley, 4, and Charlie, 2.

"Yesterday Heaven gained the sweetest doggy angel! We were lucky to know you, Sabel! We love you!" Stanton captioned an Instagram video of Kinsley holding the dog's hand.

A few months back, Murray wrote alongside a picture of Sabel and Stanton's daughter, "Sabel is my best friend. When I'm at school I cry because I miss her. -Kinsley."

Murray revealed in January that Sabel was diagnosed with cancer the same day his grandfather had passed away. He said his "heart broke" that day.

By the time Bachelor in Paradise began filming in Summer 2016, Sabel had undergone chemotherapy and also had a leg amputated.

Reports have circulated for weeks now that Stanton and Murray have called it quits on their romance after getting engaged on the Season 3 finale of Bachelor in Paradise; however, neither individual has yet to confirm the break-up.

Murray alluded to a split when he posted a since-deleted Instagram photo of his bags packed in the car earlier this month. He was reportedly leaving Stanton's California home and heading back to his home base of Atlanta, GA.
