Jordan Rodgers continues to take huge leaps forward in his relationship with The Bachelorette star JoJo Fletcher.

After receiving Season 12's coveted First Impression rose, Fletcher's very first kiss and a Group Date rose, Rodgers finally embarked on a one-on-one date with Fletcher in Uruguay.

"I was really looking forward to seeing Jordan. He and I had an instant connection that first night when he stepped out of the limo, but I was so ready to try and move beyond that," Fletcher wrote in her People blog.

The couple spent the day on a yacht, observing seals swimming around them in the water.

"I know the water was a little murky, but just seeing those seals swim around so close to us was amazing. They are so big (and. yes, a little stinky!) but so graceful. If you haven't had the chance to swim with seals and you have the opportunity, give it a go!" Fletcher gushed.

But getting back to Rodgers, Fletcher had to confront him about something that had been bothering her.

"That night, I knew I needed to have a serious talk with Jordan," she noted.

News of Rodgers' The Bachelorette participation leaked before the show began filming, so Fletcher read about him online prior to meeting him in person. She also apparently ran into his ex-girlfriend in Dallas one day, who warned Fletcher that the former pro quarterback was a bad boyfriend and created trust issues.

"It was hard bringing those issues up with him, but I knew I wouldn't be able to move forward without having that conversation. I could tell he was surprised, and there was a moment there when I was worried that he was about to shut down," Fletcher wrote.

Rodgers' ex-girlfriend, Brittany Farrar, is apparently the girl Fletcher is referring to. Farrar had blasted Rodgers on Twitter the night of The Bachelorette premiere, calling him a cheater, liar and fame-seeker.

Rodgers, however, firmly denied ever cheating on his ex in The Bachelorette episode. Instead, the athlete told Fletcher that he had made mistakes and only flirted with women when wrongly putting his ego and football career above all else.

"Hearing him open up and tell me that he was immature and maybe not the best person in past relationships meant a lot. He didn't try to place blame on anyone other than himself. I respected that," Fletcher said. "And it made me realize that the connection between us was more than just physical."

Fletcher added in her blog that her date with Rodgers in Uruguay was "one of the best days" in her entire journey.
