Jordan Rodgers was very proud himself for never throwing any of his fellow suitors under the bus while filming The Bachelorette, but he's apparently not afraid to do that now.

Rodgers, a 27-year-old former pro quarterback from Chico, CA, recently Skyped with Katie Nolan for her Garbage Time podcast and discussed the bone he had to pick with Derek Peth, a 29-year-old commercial banker from Waverly, IA.

Before JoJo Fletcher eliminated Peth on a two-on-one date, he complained that Rodgers' group of friends was like a "mean girls' clique" always trying to target him and put him down. Alex Woytkiw, for example, told the cameras that Peth was insecure, jealous and a "sensitive little b-tch."

"My problem with Derek is that Derek watched every season of The Bachelorette in preparation for this," explained Rodgers, "so I'm pretty sure he had a full-on strategy and scripted everything he was going to say the whole entire time."

Rodgers said that Peth's "cliquey" accusation came straight "out of left field."

"I don't know where that came from," Rodgers insisted. "We start to develop relationships with the guys and friendships, and I guess that can create insecurity. I don't really know. I'm a somewhat self-proclaimed social butterfly, so I was trying to fly around and be with everybody. So, I wasn't trying to exclude anybody."

Rodgers then elaborated on what the environment is like when you compete on a show like The Bachelorette.

"It's a different experience... no cell phones, no TV, no Internet. You literally sit around and develop relationships with the guys that are there and you talk about your feelings. So it is, in a weird way, one big therapy session. You learn a lot about yourself in the process," he said.

Although Rodgers felt guarded and skeptical at the beginning of the process since cameras were all around him, he became increasingly more comfortable in the atmosphere and was therefore able to open up to everyone.

"I was actually good friends with all the guys there and it was a fun experience -- minus, maybe, one," Rodgers said, confirming that the person he definitely didn't get along with was Chad Johnson.

"It's the weirdest. Every morning you wake up and you're like, 'I kind of like these guys!' But then you think, 'Wait a minute, they're trying to date the same girl I'm dating...' You have to not worry about what the other guys are doing. You have to not worry that she's dating other people."

Rodgers added that a guy who let Fletcher's other relationships bother him probably "didn't last very long."

"I think you have to compartmentalize your dates and your time with her completely separate from hanging out with the guys, otherwise you're going to be completely miserable the whole entire time," he explained.

The former pro quarterback became especially close with Woytkiw, Chase McNary and Robby Hayes.
