Jon Gosselin's recent trip to France was apparently a mix of business and pleasure.

The Jon & Kate Plus 8 patriarch and his new girlfriend Hailey Glassman spent the weekend in the French Riviera so he could finalize a deal to design his own children's clothing line with Ed Hardy fashion designer Christian Audigier, People reported Monday.

Glassman -- the 22-year-old daughter of the plastic surgeon who previously performed Kate's tummy tuck surgery -- will also help design the clothing line.

"She'll have a lot of input with Christian," Gosselin told People.  "And I will, too."

In addition, Gosselin's eight kids will model the new clothing line in ads this fall, People reported.

Audigier said he approached Gosselin with the idea after he noticed the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star often wore his tattoo-inspired T-shirts on the TLC reality series.

"He's huge," Audigier told People about Gosselin.  "Everyone knows this family. And everyone will know our clothes. They'll be fun, easy clothes for kids."

Gosselin was spotted holding hands with Glassman in St. Tropez in the French Riviera on Saturday, and the pair also took a trip on Audigier's yacht.  Audigier told E! News over the weekend that he was "taking care" of Gosselin and Glassman and added the couple are "having fun."

"They couldn't take their eyes off each other," a friend of Audigier's told People. "They looked so happy to just be together."

While Gosselin told People he felt "very relaxed" during the trip, he also missed his kids.

"Every ten minutes I keep thinking about the kids and missing them," he told People.

Late last month, Kate filed for a no-fault divorce and the couple publicly announced their separation during a subsequent Jon & Kate Plus 8 broadcast. The show subsequently went on hiatus until August 3.

Gosselin is scheduled to return to the U.S. on Tuesday to begin filming new episodes of Jon & Kate Plus 8, People reported.
