Jef Holm has firmly taken the stance that no member of his Mormon family has ever practiced polygamy despite a recent report claiming otherwise.

"Now they're going after my family? My family DOES NOT, has HAS NEVER had any affiliation with polygamy. Ever," Holm tweeted Wednesday night.

Holm was responding to an In Touch Weekly report published earlier Wednesday.

According to In Touch, a Holm family member allegedly told the magazine many of Holm's relatives, including aunts and uncles, currently are members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints -- which is a Mormon church that, unlike the mainstream Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, still considers polygamy an acceptable religious practice.

In addition, according to the magazine, Holm's paternal grandfather helped found the fundamentalist church and had 11 wives, while his uncle Rodney Holm was convicted of bigamy in 2003.

Although the family member claimed Holm's immediate family are not polygamous, the insider reportedly added that Holm's father Monte Holm has 63 sisters and brothers.

"Monte is one of 15 kids from the same mom, with a total of 64 brothers and sisters from the same dad," the source told In Touch.
