Jason Tartick admits he's "very single" after his stint on Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette, but would he be up for starring on Season 23 of The Bachelor?

While taping The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All special, Jason opened up to People about whether he'd be interested in becoming the next Bachelor.

"Coming into The Bachelorette, I always led with a calculated mind and not an open heart. Now, I'm able to start leading with my heart and not my head. And I'm in the best position to find who I'm looking for now," said the 29-year-old senior corporate banker from Buffalo, NY.

Jason's elimination on Monday night's episode of The Bachelorette was particularly tough to watch. Not only did Becca feel she blindsided the suitor, but Jason was madly in love with the Minnesota publicist and asked her multiple times to reconsider while being dumped.

"Getting over her was tough," Jason told People. "We had such a strong connection."

Instead of leaving Thailand, Jason decided to pay Becca a visit at her hotel room once her three dates for the week were finished. While some fans believed Jason was trying to win Becca back and receive a second chance, he insisted he was just looking to receive some closure.

"It had nothing to do with changing her mind or asking for her back," Jason said.

"Everything ended so abruptly. It just didn't feel like the way it ended was the right way to close the door. We said a peaceful goodbye. And that will help us become friends down the road."

But before Jason left, he gifted Becca with a beautiful scrapbook he had put together. Jason's thoughts, words and photos later made Becca cry and question what was wrong with her for letting him go.

"It was a story of our time together start to finish," Jason revealed.

"When we had moments together and funny stories, I used this book to compartmentalize what we had, everything from a name tag because she forgot my name, to where we ended up at the end and where it could have gone from there. It was a really good way to channel energy in the right direction."

Regardless of whether Jason becomes The Bachelor star or chooses to appear on a future season of Bachelor in Paradise, many fans are highly anticipating his return.

"The world needs more Jasons. I've never seen any guy be like that, especially after being blindsided. I knew he loved me, because he told me that, but I didn't know the extent of it," Becca said in Monday night's episode after Jason finally closed the door on their romance.

"I really hope he finds somebody, and I know he will, and she's going to have to treat him like a king. He deserves only the best."
