James Taylor was insecure most of The Bachelorette season because of JoJo Fletcher's strong physical connections with other men, and although she repeatedly promised he was selling himself short, Taylor wasn't off base.

"Unlike my other remaining relationships, we were missing that spark and I had to face that," Fletcher wrote in her People blog of why she had to send Taylor packing.

Prior to the Rose Ceremony when the country singer went home, Fletcher decided to cancel the cocktail party because she felt confident in the elimination choice she was about to make.

Fletcher's one-on-one date with Luke Pell is apparently what pushed her to that point.

"I knew Luke was someone I felt strongly about," Fletcher said, which is no surprise considering she always gushed about the amazing chemistry and attraction they had.

"I really just wanted to get to the Rose Ceremony because after that day there were no more questions for me. I didn't need a dinner to know that I was headed back to Texas to meet Luke's family."

Fletcher realized going through with a cocktail party would only make her decisions more difficult.

"At the end of the day, [more time with Taylor] wouldn't change the feelings I was already having. I had spent time with all of these guys this week, and by the end I knew what I had to do," Fletcher wrote.

Taylor's ouster left Pell, Jordan Rodgers, Robby Hayes and Chase McNary in the running for her heart.

"Saying goodbye to James was one of the most difficult goodbyes I have ever had to make. He has a heart of gold, and it broke my heart to be the person to ever cause him an ounce of sadness," Fletcher admitted.

In a season full of alleged bad boys, based on what viewers have seen, Fletcher let the nice guy go.

"My relationship with James was honest, respectful and very special to me," she confessed in her blog.

Next week on The Bachelorette, Fletcher will be visiting the hometowns of her Final 4 suitors, after which she must endure "one of the most heart-wrenching Rose Ceremonies you've ever seen," according to host Chris Harrison.
