Kat, a 23-year-old full-time student and saleswoman from Orlando, FL, lost the duel to returning player Laura Morett, a 43-year-old construction company co-owner from Salem, OR, and "loved one" John Cody, a 30-year-old physician and army orthopedic surgery resident from Washington, D.C., who's the husband of Candice Cody.

Kat's boyfriend and former Big Brother winner, Hayden Moss, is still in the game competing for the million dollar prize on the new Tadhana tribe.

In an exclusive interview with Reality TV World on Thursday, Kat talked about her perspective on her tribemates and decision-making during the game. Below is what she had to say. Click here to read Kat's thoughts on her relationship with Hayden.

Reality TV World: Several of the other castaways were openly rooting for you and trying to help you during the Redemption Island duel. Why do you think that was, and how much of it do you think was because they wanted you to win over Laura M.? I'm wondering if, because it seemed like everyone thought Laura M. was great at challenges, they saw her as a threat to win Individual Immunity Challenges down the road if she was to re-enter the game.

Kat Edorsson: I mean, did you see that? Wasn't that [support] nice to see?

Reality TV World: It was nice to see but I was wondering what the motivation was behind all that cheering. Do you think it was more about you or more about Laura M.? (Laughs)

Kat Edorsson: No, I mean, that was my alliance on the other side of the tribe. Hayden got my alliance. My alliance was [Tyson Apostol], [Gervase Peterson] and [Aras Baskauskas] and [Tina Wesson] and [Monica Culpepper]. Those were the people that I was closest with, so from One World, the luck of the draw, I lucked out and Monica didn't. This season, Monica lucked out and I didn't.

So it's like, I didn't get the luck that I needed when the tribes were swapped, you know what I mean? So it just really sucked. My alliance was on the other side. And clearly, if they weren't my alliance and if I didn't have anybody, then why would everybody be rooting for me against Laura M. and against John, you know?

Reality TV World: During the duel, you made it clear that you considered looking at Laura M.'s puzzle to be cheating, which really surprised the cast, Jeff Probst and viewers watching at home given that kind of happens all the time. So I think you played 33 days of Survivor: One World and another couple of weeks on this season, so had you not noticed players tend to look at other castaways' puzzles and such during challenges, or had you been aware that goes on but you've never been morally okay with it?

Kat Edorsson: No, the cheating thing is totally irrelevant. If I was in the middle, I would've done the same damn thing. So I just couldn't see John's puzzle, so I mean, when Tyson and them kept saying, "Look over, look over to cheat," I'd look over to look over to do my puzzle.

I mean, I would've done it if I could've seen it, but I couldn't see it. So it's like the more time I spent trying to look at his puzzle, the less time I had to put pieces on mine.

Reality TV World: Last week's episode didn't seem to do that great a job of explaining what your big issue with Monica was. It showed you complaining that she was always talking strategy, and I can understand how having to listen to someone talk all the time could get a little annoying, but having someone who's in your alliance and wants to talk strategy with you would seem to be a good thing. So could you explain why you wanted Monica out so bad at that point?

Kat Edorsson: I didn't really want Monica out at that point. There were people in my alliance that wanted Monica to stop strategizing, so I would bring Monica to the side and say, "Look, girl, you gotta chill. You just gotta take a step back and just shut it," just because you're talking too much. You've just gotta relax and let things happen.

It wasn't overstrategizing, she was just over-talking about scenarios we've already went through, like, you know when you talk yourself out of something that you're supposed to be doing? It was constantly that way, and I didn't care because I loved Monica, but Tina would come up to me and say, "Oh my God, Monica's driving me crazy. I do not know what to do with her."

Within the same hour of that conversation that me and Tina had, it was just like, "Why don't we just take out Monica?" So the fact I was just accommodating that conversation with Tina, and then Tina goes back and throws me under the bus, that's just Survivor for you.

Reality TV World: Do you think Tina wanted you out for some reason and she just played the Monica card as an excuse?

Kat Edorsson: Ugh, yeah. At that time, Tina -- I took Monica in the woods and I talked to her for over an hour. Tina was mad about that because she didn't like that I was strategizing, because she thought that we were talking about her, when we really weren't.

We were just talking about me and her as friends. And so Tina threw me under the bus because she was upset that I took Monica out and talked to her for an hour.

So when she threw me under the bus, Monica went ape sh-t because Tina was afraid that I was strategizing against her, but I wasn't -- which includes in the story of Blood vs. Water, there's nowhere that your strategy lies that is safe. It's like everybody is against each other. So never speak before the vote. Just don't speak. Just be mute.

Reality TV World: Last night's episode showed you calling Laura Boneham a "social - something,"  but the word was bleeped out. But the gist of it seemed like you were saying something negative about her social skills. Could you elaborate on that a little more? What was your opinion of Laura B. while you were out there?

Kat Edorsson: Laura B. was a little bit socially awkward and so it was hard. She was always a wild card, so it was hard for us to find out where she really lied. You know, sometimes she'd be on our side, but if you ticked her off, she will change her vote and she'll go onto the other side.

It's like what she said right when she got to Redemption Island, she said, "Oh, I know who I'm not voting with. I'm voting with the guys." But that's how I felt with her all the time because I never really knew where she lied. So not only was she socially awkward and kind of just lived in her own mind, she was not trustworthy for me.

Reality TV World: Were you surprised to see that Laura B. was voted out right after you because of what Monica and Tina basically claimed was a mistake in her social game?

Kat Edorsson: Laura B. was supposed to be voted out from Day 1. Somehow, some way, people like that end up staying because there's bigger targets than them. Because if you think about it, if you're lost in your own mind, who are you going to hurt besides yourself?

So what does it matter if you stay around for a little bit longer while someone else is making a mess? So that was more the strategy. That's how people stay in the game. We had someone like that on One World, she was always lost in her own mind and she stayed around all the way to Final 4. But you know, it is what it is.

Reality TV World: So do you believe Laura B.'s move of telling Vytas Baskauskas he was going home was really why Monica and Tina voted her off, or do you think that was just a convenient excuse the girls came up with?

Kat Edorsson: That was very awkward honestly, and if I was with Monica and Tina, I'd be like, "Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, did that just happen?!" But I mean, I don't know. I thought it was great TV.

I was dying laughing when I saw it just because it was so funny, so strategy-wise, probably not the best. If you were honestly that solid in your alliance, I still would never say that. That's like 101, you just never say stuff like that.

Reality TV World: How did you end up being on Survivor again, and how did competing with Hayden come about? Did the producers originally approach you about coming back and then ask you for some "loved one" possibilities or had they heard about you and Hayden and therefore were immediately interested in having the two of you compete? How did all that happen?

Kat Edorsson: I was invited back first thing because they wanted me and my cousin Rob, and because my cousin Rob couldn't play, they cast a few other of my family members and none of them made the cut.

And then they were like, "Wait a second, you're dating Hayden Moss?" And I'm like, "Yeah, but Hayden played Big Brother. There's never been a cross-over ever in history to do that." And they were like, "Well, we're CBS and we can do whatever we want." So that's kind of how it happened and he was able to play.
