A recent report from E-Poll Market Research in Encino, Calif., found that singer-actress Jessica Simpson is the latest most "overexposed" celebrity.

The company, which ranked 2,600 celebrities based on 46 personality characteristics, revealed that the blond singer has made an unprecedented jump in her "overexposed" score over the last three years to top this year's list, said Forbes magazine.

While the 26-year-old Simpson broke the celebrity average of a three percent to seven percent rise during the peak of their career with her 14 percent increase since Sept. 2003, she also recorded an eight percent drop in her "talented" score to only 28 percent overall.

Robert Thompson, who founded the Center for the Study of Popular Television at Syracuse University, said such a drop was likely due to the fact Simpson has recently seen her public image fall to that of a tabloid star.

"To date, (MTV's) 'Newlyweds' is her magnum opus," Thompson told Forbes. "Jessica Simpson is probably not going to be one of these stars that continues to be a star from generation to generation."
