Daddy lived with the Millan family since he was 4 months old and appeared on Millan's popular animal-training reality series.

In honor of the dog's legacy, an Emergency Animal Rescue Fund has been established by the Cesar and Ilusion Millan Foundation (www.millanfoundation.org/daddyfund). It is intended to provide funding and assistance for dogs that are victims of natural disasters or abuse.

"I've always seen Daddy as my teacher of life. He brought my family and me so much joy over the years. Personally, he represented what my grandfather taught me, never work against Mother Nature. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit lives on," Cesar Millan said in a statement.
