Dancing with the Stars eliminated Chris Kattan and his professional partner Witney Carson during Monday night's Season 24 performance show on ABC.

Witney and Chris, an actor and comedian best known for his work on Saturday Night Live and role in A Night at the Roxbury, became the first couple ousted from the competition based on the combination of Dancing with the Stars judges' scores and home viewer votes they had received during last week's premiere episode.

"[Witney] was amazing, an amazing inspiration, and I couldn't have done this without her. I wish that my [back surgery] and all that was noted before, but it wasn't, and that's okay. I had an incredible time, an incredible time," Chris said in his final words, referencing how he had been scored poorly by the judges due to being "stiff" in last week's dance but the panel was seemingly unaware a previous neck injury led to multiple surgeries that resulted in limited back flexibility.

Chris and Witney had landed in twelfth -- and last -- place on the judges' leaderboard last week after earning only 17 out of 40 points.

Entertainer and reality TV veteran Charo and partner Keo Motsepe were the other couple in jeopardy last night prior to Chris and Witney's elimination, however, they were not necessarily one of the bottom-two couples based on judges' scores and America's votes.

Monday night's show featured all 12 couples each performing one dance routine.

NFL player Rashad Jennings and partner Emma Slater tied for first place on the judges' leaderboard with Fifth Harmony member Normani Kordei and partner Val Chmerkovskiy.

Both pairs topped the leaderboard with 32 out of 40 possible points from Dancing with the Stars judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli. Rashad and Emma took the stage with the Viennese waltz, while Normani and Val performed the cha cha.

Glee star Heather Morris and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy finished in third place on the leaderboard with 30 points after Beyonce's former backup dancer performed a jive routine with Alan Bersten, a Dancing with the Stars Troupe member who had to fill in for Maksim after the pro dancer injured his leg in rehearsal.

Maksim is seeking treatment and has his "fingers crossed for a speedy recovery" however, he revealed in last night's episode it's not an injury he can just ice and then be able to dance again. Maksim intends on returning to the competition though at some point.

Two couples tied for fourth place on the leaderboard with 29 points each: Professional bull rider-turned-model Bonner Bolton and partner Sharna Burgess as well as Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Simone Biles and partner Sasha Farber.

Bonner and Sharna danced the Viennese waltz, while Simone and Sasha performed the cha cha.

Sixth place was a tie between iconic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika "Erika Jayne" Girardi after both women received 28 points from the judges.

Nancy and partner Artem Chigvintsev took the stage with the cha cha, while Erika and partner Gleb Savchenko performed the foxtrot.

Two-time World Series champion David Ross and partner Lindsay Arnold claimed eighth place on the judges' leaderboard with 27 points after they danced the cha cha.

Ninth place represented a tie between two couples at 25 points: Charo and Keo as well as The Bachelor star Nick Viall and partner Peta Murgatroyd.

Charo and Keo performed the paso doble, while Nick and Peta danced the foxtrot.

And two couples also tied for eleventh -- and last -- place on Monday night's leaderboard. Chris and Witney earned 22 points for their jazz routine, while professional wrestler Mr. T and partner Kym Johnson also received only 22 points from the judges for the paso doble.

Next week, another Season 24 celebrity and professional pairing will be sent home based on last night's scores and votes.
