Louis van Amstel is apparently the player-to-be-named-later in a trade between So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars.

So You Think You Can Dance executive producer Nigel Lythgoe has announced that the former Dancing with the Stars professional will be joining the Fox reality series' upcoming fifth season as a professional choreographer.

"Louis van Amstel, from DWTS is joining our group of incredibly gifted choreographers this season," wrote Lythgoe in a Monday posting on his Twitter page.  "That's fair. They've got 3 of our dancers!"

Lythgoe was referring to former So You Think You Can Dance second-season finalist Dmitry Chaplin, third-season finalist Lacey Schwimmer and fourth-season finalist Chelsie Hightower -- all of whom served as Dancing with the Stars professionals during the show's currently airing eighth season.

Van Amstel first served as a Dancing with the Stars professional during the show's first season, when he was paired with The Bachelorette star Trista Sutter.

He subsequently competed with Lisa Rinna during the second season and Monique Coleman in the third season before taking the fourth and fifth season off, however he still choreographed the show's North American tour that follows each season.  Most recently, he competed with Priscilla Presley during the show's sixth season.

So You Think You Can Dance's fifth season is currently slated to debut May 21.
