Counting On star Jill Duggar's husband Derick Dillard is currently under fire for criticizing 16-year-old transgender reality TV star Jazz Jennings and the premise of her I Am Jazz TLC reality show.

Dillard took to Twitter this week to bash the fact Jennings identifies as a girl and stars on a reality series for TLC.

In reply to a promotional tweet for I Am Jazz, Dillard wrote Wednesday on Twitter, "What an oxymoron... a 'reality' show which follows a non-reality. 'Transgender' is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it's ordained by God."

Jennings later responded to the 28-year-old devout Christian and tweeted, "Every day I experience cyber-bullying, but I keep sharing my story. Today was no different."

Many fans supported Jennings in the situation and criticized Dillard for being an alleged "man child" and "bully."

"I want to be clear. I have nothing against him. I only have issue with the words and definitions being propagated here," Dillard replied on Twitter.

"You mean her," wrote a Jennings' fan. "Use the right pronoun if you have no issue."

Another Twitter user called out TLC for the network's inaction.

"@TLC ARE YOU SERIOUSLY OK WITH THIS??? YOU'RE GONNA ALLOW A GROWN MAN CHILD TO BULLY A CHILD ON YOUR WATCH???" wrote the Jennings follower.

"Very hypocritical of your family to profit from a network which airs content against your beliefs," tweeted a Jennings fan. "Don't like it? Don't associate with it. It's probably best not to bite the hand that feeds you."

Jennings retweeted some of the shots taken at Dillard, who in turn wrote Friday on Twitter, "People are not my enemy; I fight against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places... Everyday, I seek to be less like the natural spiritual state I was born with and more like my lord whom I confess, Jesus Christ."

TLC released the following statement about the matter to Us Weekly: "Derick Dillard's personal statement does not represent the views of TLC."

Dillard and Duggar, 26, have two sons together -- Israel, 2, and Samuel, 3 weeks.
