The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Conner Leavitt has spoken out about Dancing with the Stars fans criticizing his casting on Season 35 of the reality dancing competition.

Conner married Whitney, who competed on Dancing with the Stars' 34th season last year, in a Mormon temple in Provo, UT, in Summer 2016, according to The Knot.
The pair share three children: Sedona, Liam and Billy Gene.
In Conner's TikTok video, he and his DWTS 35 professional partner, Adele Zaikman, were pretending to read online comments about him on his phone.
Conner became increasingly more upset as he appeared to read backlash about his Dancing with the Stars casting during a rehearsal with Adele.
"POV: You get cast on DWTS and find out 'nepo husband' doesn't count as 'star,'" Conner wrote over the footage.
It's apparent many Dancing with the Stars fans believe Conner is only famous by association.
Not only has Whitney starred in the musical Chicago on Broadway, but she's a co-creator of #MomTok and has starred on all five seasons of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' fifth season is set to premiere Thursday, September 10 on Hulu.
Whitney, 33, responded to all the hate her husband has been receiving in her own TikTok video.
"When someone says our nepo daddy isn't a star," Whitney wrote, mocking and rejecting the idea.

Conner played along and wrote in the comments, "Yall are the reason I Nepo so hard. Love you guys so much."
The entire Season 35 cast was officially announced or confirmed during the Wednesday, September 2 episode of ABC's Good Morning America.
The celebrities who will be competing for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy this fall include The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Tatyana Ali, The Bachelorette alum and HGTV host Tyler Cameron, celebrity chef and host Giada De Laurentiis, and Step Up and The Rookie star Jenna Dewan.
Paralympian gold medalist Ezra Frech and Olympic gold medalist Amber Glenn will also be putting on dancing shoes next season.
Also joining the cast will be Hanson boyband member Taylor Hanson, Love Thy Nader star Sarah Jane Nader, Grey's Anatomy star Harry Shum Jr., comedian and podcaster Connor Wood, and film and TV star Julia Stiles.
Conner isn't the only new Dancing with the Stars cast member under scrutiny.
Jenna Dewan, for instance, has had to defend her casting against claims her impressive dance background will give her an unfair advantage in the competition. DWTS pro Jenna Johnson also stuck up for the Step Up actress given her husband, Val Chmerkovskiy, will be paired with Dewan this season.
And Sarah may be subjected to backlash since she's the sister of supermodel Brooks Nader, who was the main star on Love Thy Nader.

In addition, ABC announced the first-ever DWTS After Party, hosted by Robert Irwin, is set to air live Wednesday, September 16 at 10PM ET/PT on ABC.
DWTS After Party will follow Night 2 of Dancing with the Stars' Season 35 premiere event and feature eliminated contestants, never-before-seen footage, and special teases.
