Critics of Chris Soules might be saying the fame of The Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars got to his head, but if it did, he's still keeping his family in Iowa close.

After announcing his split from ex-fiancee Whitney Bischoff last week, Soules has been very active on Instagram in the last two days.

The 33-year-old farmer from Arlington, IA, returned home this week and apparently spent some quality time with his family. But he had a good reason to stop by.

"Celebrating my niece's graduation with the greatest man I know," Soules captioned a photo of himself and his father standing on acres of green grass.

Soules also posted a photo of himself yesterday sharing in his niece Hannah Wallace's big moment. They were standing under a big tent and had huge smiles on their faces.

"My niece Hannah Wallace who graduated on Sunday! I am so proud of her! Can't wait to be a part of her amazing future!" Soules wrote.

In another cute picture, Soules' other niece Sienna put together a little breakfast for him one morning in a tray that featured a vase filled with flowers. The meal was comprised of one piece of toast, one crispy strip of bacon, orange juice, chunks of watermelon and a protein bar.

"Breakfast made by my lovely niece Sienna," Soules captioned the photo on Instagram.

In late May, Soules and Bischoff -- who got engaged on The Bachelor's nineteenth season six months ago although the finale just aired about two months ago -- released a joint statement revealing they had decided to call off their engagement and split.

"Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement," the statement read. "They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends. They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey."
