Chris Kattan become the first celebrity from the new Season 24 of "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday night.

"She was an amazing inspiration and I couldn't have gone... done this without her," the "Saturday Night Live" alum said about his partner Witney Carson, upon learning their fate.

"I wish that my surgery and all that was noted before, but it wasn't and that's OK, but I had an incredible, incredible time."

"I broke my neck and I had four surgeries regarding that the last 20 years basically. One in my back, one through the throat ... I had to be careful for a really long time," People magazine quoted the 46-year-old comedian as telling reporters after the show ended.

Still in the running for the coveted mirror-ball trophy are former ice skating champion Nancy Kerrigan, model and professional bull rider Bonner Bolton, entertainer Charo, pro football player Rashad Jennings, retired baseball player David Ross, singer-actress Erika Jayne and Firth Harmony member Normani Kodei.

The competition also includes Bachelor star Nick Viall, Glee alum Heather Morris, 1980s icon Mr. T and Olympic gymnast Simone Biles.
