Chad Johnson's antics this week totally shocked The Bachelorette star JoJo Fletcher, especially when things came to a head on Tuesday night's episode.

Johnson first got in Derek Peth's face at the pool party because he overheard him talking trash to Fletcher. Peth revealed to the Bachelorette that the guys didn't feel safe around Johnson and so they asked a security guard to come in and keep an eye on things. Johnson was livid and attempted to make Peth feel bad for using his alone time with Fletcher to bad-mouth another guy.

"Seeing Chad basically intimidate Derek was hard to watch. And did you see all the guys standing in the living room behind Derek??? So awkward! Maybe I shouldn't have asked Derek about Chad, but after Chad's behavior the other day on the group date, I needed more information," Fletcher wrote in her People blog.

Tension later boiled over once Johnson learned he'd be sharing Fletcher on a two-on-one date with Alex Woytkiw.

"When I started this journey as The Bachelorette, I knew group dates were going to be challenging. But no one, NO ONE, could have prepared me for the challenge of a two-on-one date. And not just any two-on-one date, but one with Chad and Alex -- two guys who I knew who weren't BFFs, but two guys I definitely needed more time with," Fletcher explained.

Before the guys embarked on their date, Johnson and Woytkiw exchanged brutal verbal blows, and Johnson also threatened to find Jordan Rodgers after the show at his home in order to beat him up.

"If I could have seen what happened that morning with Chad and the guys, maybe that would have changed my thinking going into the date. So hard to know. I do know that behind all the anger in Chad, there is probably a decent person," Fletcher said.

"Chad's been through so much in the past year. And that's why I broke down the way I did, because I knew what he'd been through."

Johnson's mother had passed away six months prior to his appearance on The Bachelorette. The bachelor told Fletcher that his mom was his best friend and he had taken care of her in the years leading up to her death.

"But it still doesn't excuse his behavior," Fletcher pointed out. "You can't threaten people, no matter what you've been through. I don't want that in a friend, and I definitely don't want that in a husband."

The two-on-one date therefore ended with Fletcher giving Woytkiw the rose and therefore dumping Johnson.

"Handing the rose to Alex felt right. He and I had had a connection from the very first night, and spending time with him that day -- even in such uncomfortable circumstances -- just confirmed that. Alex is husband material," Fletcher wrote.

"Chad, however, has a lot of work to do before he gets to that point. Hopefully someday he'll get there. I know he has it in him."

When Fletcher and Woytkiw continued their date alone, last night's episode concluded with Johnson walking back to the guys' house with fire in his eyes.

"Alex and I had time to really sit and reconnect. It was great. Little did I know, Chad was heading back to the guys' place. Wow. His hands on the door! So, so scary! I hate to do this, but you're going to have to wait an extra week to see just what happens when the guys open the door and Chad steps in," Fletcher teased.

"I know, I know! But I promise it's worth the wait! Check back two weeks from now and we will get through it together!"
