Camille Grammer's soon-to-be ex-husband is apparently in a rush to get married again.

Kelsey Grammer has asked a judge to accelerate his divorce from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, his third wife, so he can legally wed Kayte Walsh, his current fiancee, TMZ reported Monday.

Kelsey has reportedly asked the judge handling the couple's divorce case to bifurcate the matter and grant a divorce decree as soon as possible while postponing the division of the couple's marital assets at a later time.

Camille filed for divorce from the 55-year-old Hollywood actor on July 1.  However California law does not allow a divorce to become final until six months after the petition was filed, which means Kelsey and the 29-year-old British flight attendant -- who suffered a miscarriage this fall and got engaged to Kelsey several months ago -- would not be able to marry until at least January 1 if the request is granted.

According to Camille, she filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, after she discovered Kelsey had begun an affair with Walsh while he was living in New York and starring in Broadway play while she remained living in Beverly Hills with their two children.

"In June, I got a phone call from a mutual friend in New York who was upset by behavior of his that she'd seen.  I asked, 'Is he leaving me?' and she said, 'Yes,'" she told People in October.  "I called him but couldn't get through... finally three hours later, he called me.  He basically said, 'I don't want to be married anymore.'"

"I asked him of there was anything we could work on... but his mind was already made up."

Kelsey subsequently confirmed the couple's divorce in a series of posts on his Twitter account in July.

"Yes it's TRUE Camille and I are Divorcing," he wrote.

"Things fell apart between us. That is all. She is still the mother of my children and any disparagement of her will only hurt the children. Camille did not want this but has made a very difficult decision and I respect her for it. I appreciate your kindness for all parties in this matter. Especially for her and the children."

In addition, Camille has also claimed her The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills participation was Kelsey's idea and suggested it may have been a deliberate attempt to distract her from his relationship with Walsh.

"I really didn't want to do the show... I think it was more Kelsey's agenda.  I was very reluctant, because I am a very private person," she told the New York Post in October.

"Looking back, maybe he wanted to keep me preoccupied in California while he was off having his affair in New York."

Camille is seeking primary physical custody of the couple's eight-year-old daughter Mason and six-year-old son Jude, as well as spousal support. Kelsey also has two older daughters from previous relationships.
