Spears, 31, has formally announced she has signed a two-year residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas to perform about 50 concert shows a year.

"I love Vegas. The energy here is definitely really, really good. I'm definitely going to do the greatest hits, but I'm going to have to put some of my new material into it just to keep it fresh," Spears announced during a Tuesday appearance on Good Morning America.

"We want the environment to be [like a club] so people could come and have a good time and stand up and feel like they're in the show with me."

The show, entitled "Britney, Piece of Me," will debut on December 27, and Spears insisted she's prepared to put the time and effort in mentally and physically.

"I'm definitely ready. I sometimes have training for five hours a day," the singer and dancer added.

Spears landed in the Las Vegas desert this morning via helicopter and was surprised by more than 1,000 of her fans dressed in school-girl uniforms, reminiscing her "Baby One More Time" video.

Spears confirmed in January she would not be returning to The X Factor after judging its second season alongside Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid.
