U.S. pop star Britney Spears will not only appear on the British TV series "The X Factor" Saturday, but will serve as the episode's theme, a contestant says.

Alexandra Burke. a contestant on the British TV talent show, said she and her fellow contestants will follow up Spears' performance of "Womanizer" with covers of some of the pop singer's most memorable songs, The Daily Telegraph said.

Burke said she will perform the Spears hit "Toxic" during Saturday's broadcast and for her, Spears' involvement with the show is a dream come true.

"When I was nine, Britney brought out 'Baby One More Time,' and I loved her," Burke said of the singer's first major hit.

"I'm very excited about meeting her. This is the Britney we all know and love."

Spears, 27, is appearing on the British talent series as part of her ongoing promotional tour for her newest studio album, "Circus."

The Telegraph said Spears has added two London concerts next summer as part of her music industry comeback following years of turbulent off-stage issues.
