The 47-year-old musician is best known as the front man for the band Poison. He is also a contestant on the current season of TV's "The Celebrity Apprentice."

Michaels has been hospitalized in an intensive care unit since suffering a brain hemorrhage late Thursday. He reportedly was transported to the medical facility after suffering a severe headache.

"Further testing this week will help locate the source of the bleeding," the Los Angeles Times quoted the musician's Web site as saying in an update Monday.

The newspaper said Michaels remains in the ICU in critical condition and under the close supervision of doctors.

Michaels, who is diabetic, was also hospitalized earlier this month for an emergency appendectomy.
