The 47-year-old musician is best known as the front man for the band Poison. He is also a contestant on the current season of TV's "The Celebrity Apprentice."

People.com said Michaels was listed in critical condition at an undisclosed hospital Friday.

He reportedly was transported to the medical facility after suffering a tremendous headache late Thursday.

"After several CAT scans, MRIs and an angiogram, (doctors) decided to keep Michaels in the ICU and are running several tests to determine the cause. (It) will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation," the source told the Web site.

Michaels, who is diabetic, was hospitalized earlier this month for an emergency appendectomy.
