Indy was evicted from the Big Brother house over Terrance Higgins, a 47-year-old bus operator from Chicago, IL, by a 7-1 vote on Day 44 of the season.

Michael Bruner, a 28-year-old attorney from Saint Michael, MN who currently resides in Rochester, MN, was the only Big Brother houseguest who voted to evict Terrance and keep Indy, a 31-year-old corporate flight attendant from Sao Paulo, Brazil who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.

Following her eviction, Indy became the first member of Big Brother's Season 24 jury which will decide which houseguest wins the season's $750,000 grand prize.

Indy and Terrance had been nominated for eviction by Head of Household Taylor Hale, a 27-year-old personal stylist from West Bloomfield, MI.

Kyle Capener, a 29-year-old unemployed cast member from Bountiful, UT, then won the subsequent Power of Veto competition and decided to keep Taylor's nominations the same despite some of his fellow The Leftovers alliance members pressuring him to use it so they could nominate Alyssa Snider for eviction instead.

Given Kyle is in a showmance with Alyssa, a 24-year-old marketing representative from Sarasota, FL, and the pair currently consider themselves to be boyfriend/girlfriend, he rejected the suggestion.

In addition to Kyle, The Leftovers alliance also includes six other members: Brittany Hoopes, Joseph Abdin, Matt "Turner" Turner, Michael, Monte Taylor, and Taylor.

Indy had been part of a recently formed alliance before her eviction.  Dubbed The Five Swatters, she had formed it with Alyssa and Jasmine Davis and the three women had then invited Kyle and Joseph to also be part of it.

However while Kyle and Joseph had played along and accepted the offer, they immediately told their The Leftovers allies about it.

After Indy was evicted, Big Brother host Julie Chen revealed Season 24's new twist to the game's ten remaining houseguests. Titled "The Split House Twist," the twist will feature the houseguests competing as two separate houses.

"You are about to experience a week of Big Brother like it has never been played in over twenty years of this game,' Julie announced. "Get ready for The Split House Twist! What does that mean? Well, this week there will be two games of Big Brother being played simultaneously and separately."

"Tonight, two Heads of Household will be crowned. One HoH will live inside the house this week with four other houseguests playing one game of Big Brother at 'Bigbro-chella.' A second HoH, along with the remaining four houseguests, will be living in the backyard. All week long [and] they will be playing their own Big Brother game at 'Dire-fest.'"

"These two groups of five will have no contact for the entire week," Julie continued.

"They will be completely separated. One inside, one outside. Both 'Bigbro-chella' and 'Dire-fest' will have their own nominations, their own veto competition, their own veto meeting, and their own vote and eviction. That means one person in each group of five will be HoH, two will be nominated, and only two people will vote and one [person] will be evicted."

"That means one week from tonight, at the end of the split-house twist, two houseguests will be sent to the jury in a double eviction like no other."

All the houseguests -- excluding Taylor, who as outgoing HoH was ineligible to compete -- then competed in the special Head of Household competition.

Dubbed "Do You See The VIP?," the competition had the houseguests face off two at a time and be the first one to correctly locate "VIP" signs hidden in drawings showing the season's previously evicted houseguests as members of fictitious festival crowds.

The winner of the HoH competition will become the Head of Household of the "Bigbro-chella" house while the runner-up would become the Head of Household of the "Dire-fest" house.

However the fates of the rest of the houseguests would not be decided by the HoH competition.

"Where will the rest of you be living? That will be determined a little later this evening," Julie teased.

Michael and Terrance were the final two houseguests in the HoH competition.

Michael then won the final face-off with Terrance, resulting in Michael becoming HoH of the "Bigbro-chella" house and Terrance becoming HoH of the "Dire-fest" house.

Julie then ended the special two-hour live Big Brother broadcast by revealing that Michael and Terrance would get to decide which other houseguests would be part of their split Big Brother houses.

"We will determine the groups with a classic schoolyard pick," Julie announced.

"Michael... you will have the advantage of picking first. You both have just a few minutes to think about who you want to take to your festivals. And I'll leave you with that. Goodnight houseguests."
