Angela, 28, took to Instagram on Sunday, January 31 to share the couple's big news.

Along with pictures of Tyler's beach proposal in which the pair were surrounded by little bouquets of red and pink flowers in the sand, Angela wrote, "YES to forever and ever and always. You and me babe, for the rest of time.ï¸ 1.10.2021. 'If it's meant to be, it'll be.'"

Angela therefore revealed Tyler, 25, had popped the question on January 10 although they waited to share the announcement with fans.

"Thank you for giving me the best and most perfect day of my life. I love you more than I can say in words, and I cannot wait for the next chapter of our lives," Angela continued in her post.

"For now, let's savor this time and soak in all of the excitement our future holds. He got me good! I had no idea this day was going to turn into a day that would change our lives forever."

Meanwhile, Tyler also shared photos from the romantic proposal on his own Instagram account.

"The greatest day of my life. WE'RE ENGAGED!" Tyler wrote along with a heart. "@angelarummans You make everyday seem like a dream come true and I am now officially the luckiest person on the face of the earth. I'll love you to infinity and beyond."

Angela and Tyler also posted a video on their YouTube channel showing how Tyler planned the marriage proposal behind the scenes.

"I want to make her my wife, and I've never been so sure about anything," Tyler gushed in the video. "This is it. She's The One, and I love her to death."

Tyler got Angela's family in on the plan and so her loved ones witnessed the proposal and were able to take photos.

On the day of the proposal, Tyler admitted he was so nervous that he had to keep his distance from Angela so she wouldn't suspect anything.

Tyler led Angela to believe the pair was just going to participate in an on-camera interview together at the beach.

Mid-interview, Tyler received a call from a friend, who pretended to inform Tyler -- a former Hilton Head, SC lifeguard -- there was an emergency ocean rescue that needed to be made nearby.

Tyler therefore suddenly took off and left Angela in his tracks totally confused and unaware of how to proceed.

Angela and the camera crew therefore followed Tyler down towards the water, and Angela eventually saw Tyler and three of her family members holding individual signs that, when put together, read, "Will you marry me?"

Once Angela realized what was going on, she wept and sobbed into her hands.

When Angela approached Tyler, he got down on one knee and asked, "I love you more than anything. Will you marry me?"

Angela of course said "yes" and admitted she had been totally surprised, which was a big feat for Tyler considering the couple rarely spend any time apart.

Tyler and Angela fell in love on Big Brother's 20th season -- on which Tyler finished as the runner-up and Angela placed fourth. The pair moved into a California beachside condo together after the show and started a jewelry line called Naut and Chain.

However, the couple later purchased a home and relocated from Los Angeles to Hilton Head, where they intended to put down roots for a while.

Angela, a fitness model, grew up on Hilton Head Island, while Tyler worked there as a lifeguard before entering the Big Brother house in 2018.

Angela told Entertainment Weekly in late 2018 that she couldn't stand to be away from Tyler for more than a few hours at a time.

In December 2019, Tyler told The Bachelor star Ben Higgins on his Facebook Watch series, Back to Reality, that he and Angela were living their "best life" and he could see their relationship going all the way "to the moon."

Tyler hinted for a while that he wanted to get engaged to Angela but not rush things. Tyler just wanted things to unfold naturally.

Tyler later left Angela to film Big Brother: All-Stars, the show's 22nd edition, in Summer 2020.

"It was right before my birthday that he got the introductory call, and he came in with balloons and flowers for me and handed it to me and just started bawling, and I'm like, 'What's wrong?'" Angela recalled to Us Weekly in August 2020.

"And he goes, 'Um, they called me about All-Stars and I don't want to go.' He started bawling, but I think it hit him because he knew that it was an opportunity that he couldn't pass up and so it was going to happen."

Angela added, "Since we've got out of the [Big Brother] house, we've never spent more than three nights apart. I think we spent three nights apart one time. Literally, our lives are so interconnected. We are one person."

Angela therefore said Tyler being away from her "feels like someone ripped my arm off and my leg off and then they strapped a 20-pound backpack on my back and said, 'Go run a marathon now!' I'm like, 'This is impossible.'"

But the pair eventually agreed it was an opportunity Tyler simply couldn't pass up.

Tyler came close to winning "America's Favorite Houseguest" on the Big Brother: All-Stars finale but the honor ultimately went to Da'Vonne Rogers, and so Tyler returned home empty-handed.

Tyler struggled to play the game and stay focused his second time around in the BB house because he missed Angela so terribly.
