Bachelor in Paradise featured love at first sight, heartbreak, betrayal, and a love triangle all in one Season 5 episode that aired Tuesday night on ABC.

The Bachelor in Paradise broadcast began with Colton Underwood admitting he didn't know if he was ready to get back out there and date again. He spoke to Becca Kufrin about their relationship in attempt to find closure and revealed he needed Tia to be patient with him.
Colton confessed to Becca he had downplayed and hidden his true feelings for her once she dumped him, acknowledging that he truly was devastated.
Colton then needed clarity on whether Tia played any role in his The Bachelorette elimination. Becca said her conversation with Tia did not change her mind and she was aware at the time she felt stronger for the other men and assumed they would fit into her life better.
Becca told Colton that she understood how he was feeling because she was heartbroken over Arie Luyendyk Jr.; however, she advised him to push through the pain and sadness in order to achieve the end results he wants so badly -- love and a committed relationship.
Becca advised Colton it's okay to cry and question himself but he should never give up on finding The One for him and never back down from an opportunity to do just that.
Becca gave Colton the "kick in the ass" he needed. Colton finally felt he had received closure from Becca, and so he returned to Paradise ready to open up again and put his heart on the line.

Chris didn't believe that Colton was ready, and he certainly didn't want to see the former professional football player get in the way of his connection with Tia.
Meanwhile, Annaliese was gushing about how special Jordan made her feel. She could tell that he adored her, and Annaliese was surprised to find out how sweet Jordan was. Annaliese called him "a good guy" and could imagine him being a really amazing husband.
But then Jenna from Arie's season arrived in Mexico with a spunky personality and contagious laugh. Jenna spoke to Chris Harrison about how she feels she's an alien and things were about to get "coconuts" in Paradise.

Jordan's face absolutely lit up and he almost became nervous and unsure of himself for the first time. Jordan was clearly attracted to Jenna, who ultimately found Jordan hilarious.
Jenna noted she and Jordan could become "great mates," getting their eyebrows done together and talking about serious issues at the same time.

"I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to get to know Jenna. I already really love her personality. I'm subscribing to whatever she's got going on. That's all I know," Jordan told the cameras. "I've never met someone who's more suitable for me."
Jordan found himself at a loss for words and was speechless, and everyone at the resort could tell he was "a smitten kitten," according to Tia, and the couple had an immediate connection.
As a result, everyone realized Annaliese was going to get hurt since she considered herself to be in the strongest relationship in Paradise with Jordan. Kendall Long noted Annaliese was "in denial" about Jordan's feelings for Jenna because it was "love at first sight" for the Zoolander-like professional model.
Jenna then asked Jordan on her date, and he was thrilled to accept her invitation.

"Jenna has the potential to take me off the market," Jordan gushed in a confessional.
Jordan told Jenna he was ready to settle down, and Jenna agreed she could marry the next man she dates. The couple shared a few steamy kisses on the beach that ended with Jenna straddling him in the water. Jordan was sold on Jenna and he was filled with hope.

But Annaliese had hope too -- that Jordan and Jenna's date went terribly.
Once Jenna and Jordan returned from their date -- with Jenna in an extremely skimpy bikini -- Annaliese looked a little upset. Jordan was acting like Annaliese no longer existed.
However, Jordan immediately pulled Annaliese aside to confess his romantic connection with Jenna that day was "insane" and "nuts" and their date was "fantastic." Jordan already told Jenna that she was going to get his rose and it would take a lot for his relationship with Annaliese to catch up.
Annaliese said she was "blindsided" and devastated because Jordan had been courting her so hard in the first couple of days.
Just as Jordan was bragging to Kendall and Chris about his amazing connection with Jenna, David Ravitz brought Jenna a birthday cake. She was someone David was interested in and attracted to as well, and he had been disappointed she didn't ask him out on the date.
David then warned Jenna that Jordan was on the show for "a summer fling." On the other hand, David insisted he was an honest guy who's ready to be in a serious, long-term relationship. Once Jordan met up with the pair, he looked disgusted by David's attempts to hit on Jenna.

Once it became awkward enough for David to walk away, Jordan told Jenna that David just wanted to mess up any good thing he has going on because they clashed on Becca's The Bachelorette season. Jenna understood where Jordan was coming from, but she also thought David was nice and funny.
Jordan then threw David's birthday cake into the sand.

Meanwhile, Colton was allowing himself a fresh start, and Eric Bigger made a connection with Angela Amezcua through a kiss.
Kevin Wendt and Astrid Loch were also a couple, and Krystal was still hanging out with Kenny Layne. Tia and Chris were also happy together, and Kendall was still spending time with Joe Amabile.
Caroline from Arie's season then arrived in Paradise, and she was really nervous.

Kendall didn't want Caroline to ask Joe out because she really liked him and found him sweet, patient and kind. But Caroline quickly hit it off with John, who admittedly had a little crush on her already.
John thought he shared a connection with Caroline right away, as she was attractive, endearing and easy to talk to. The pair's first conversation therefore turned into a date.
Caroline admitted she usually goes for "jocks" or "Canadians," but since those relationships didn't work out, she was hoping dating someone like John would bring her better luck and results.
Annaliese, however, was running out of options when it came to getting a rose, so she hoped John's date would go poorly and she'd receive his rose.
For their date, Caroline and John enjoyed a dinner out. John had been hoping she'd come to Paradise to begin with, so he was excited to see her step on the island. Caroline revealed to John she just got out of a relationship with a man who made her feel bad about herself.
While engaging in conversation, Caroline kept getting distracted by all of the cute animals at the restaurant, but still, John discovered she was sweet.
Caroline felt comfortable around John, and then he kissed her and it blew her mind. Caroline realized John was really cute, and she later gushed to Krystal about how she felt "magic" on the date -- something she had never expected -- because they were so compatible.

Just as Caroline was establishing a strong connection, Jubilee from Ben Higgins' season of The Bachelor arrived in Paradise and revealed she's into "really smart and nerdy guys." She just got out of the military and said "there's no love without war."
Eric thought Jubilee "had it going on," and even the girls gushed about how beautiful she is. Caroline therefore decided to be a little aggressive with John and pull him aside to chat and snuggle. But Jubilee ended up asking John out on her date, and he accepted.
Jubilee and John went zip lining for their date, and John acknowledged she was a "badass" who could probably kick his ass if she wanted to. They got along well, and she liked how he was a "dork" -- because she's apparently one too.
Jubilee was blown away by John's profession given he's a co-founder of Venmo. She asked what he was even doing on the show because he's so smart and successful.
John and Jubilee ended their date with a makeout session, and Caroline was back at the resort feeling insecure and worried.
Meanwhile, Kenny really liked Krystal and decided to push the envelope, so he set up a romantic date for the two of them on the beach. He set up candles and drew a heart in the sand. He had drinks and strawberries waiting for them as well.

Krystal knew Kenny was an amazing guy with incredible qualities. He wanted a real relationship and made his intentions to Krystal known, but she revealed she wanted to become friends first and move a little slower.
To make matters worse, Krystal gave Kenny permission to pursue other romantic connections in Paradise.
Kenny couldn't believe he was being friend-zoned on this beautiful date he had planned for her, and he was pretty disappointed.
As for Tia and Chris, their bond continued to grow. Tia was becoming a little insecure, but Chris told her to be strong and independent because he definitely saw potential in them as a couple. Chris asked Tia to trust him because he was in it for her.

As Tia was gushing about how sweet and cool Chris was -- and how he was "all in" for her -- Chris and Krystal engaged in a private conversation and ended up making out. Chris made it known Krystal was the first blonde girl he had ever kissed.
"[Chris] made me hopeful and I can feel myself falling in love with him," Tia said in a confessional.
Colton then learned about Chris and Krystal's kiss. While he wasn't actively dating Tia, he still cared for her as a person and didn't want to see her get hurt. As a result, Colton decided to share the bad news with Tia that Chris had another romance brewing in Paradise.
Colton sat down with Tia and told her that he didn't want to step on any toes but didn't want to see her get hurt either. Colton said Chris' actions didn't match his words because he kissed Krystal the previous night and was too "cowardly" to confess such a thing to Tia.
Colton appeared to call Chris "a tool," and he said he wasn't trying to protect Tia -- given she can do that herself -- he just felt she deserved to know the truth. Tia couldn't believe Chris was feeding her such "bull."
"It's not okay for someone to be feeding me bullsh-t. How dare Chris say I deserve for someone to fight for me for you to go and be a f-ckboy and go and do the things that all my exes have done before," Tia vented to the cameras.
"I know what happened last night and I sure as hell didn't hear it from Chris. Damn dude. F-ck that. I feel like Chris was blowing smoke up my ass and any other woman here should be a little concerned. It's time to cook the f-cking goose."
Meanwhile, Jordan was shown complimenting Chris for getting so much action in Paradise and playing the field.
The episode ended with Tia approaching Chris with attitude and saying, "We need to talk," to which Chris muttered, "Oh God."
