Bachelor in Paradise bachelorettes Serene Russell, Genevieve Parisi and Jill Chin have defended the women's outrage and emotional reactions to the show's shocking new twist.

On Monday night's eighth-season episode of Bachelor in Paradise, host Jesse Palmer announced how the ladies must pack their bags and head to a nearby hotel while the men would be staying at the Paradise resort and getting to know five female newcomers: Sarah Hamrick, Kate Gallivan, Eliza Isichei, Jessenia Cruz, and Florence Moerenhout.

Serene had to leave Brandon Jones behind when they were falling in love, Genevieve was forced to say goodbye to Aaron Clancy -- whom she felt safe and at ease with -- and Jill sobbed about being separated from Jacob Rapini, who finally made her feel chosen and desired.

The women nearly quit the show and considered asking their guys to leave Paradise with them, and they complained, screamed and cried.

"I mean how would y'all feel if y'all saw Eliza Isichei standing in front of you looking that good and then you have to leave??" Serene tweeted Monday night.

"I'm sorry but to lose an 'undisclosed amount' of time during a 3week to month long process is messed up regardless of how strong your relationship is -- time is valuable."

The teacher explained how other reality dating shows typically film for 12 weeks.

Jill also clapped back at critics and wrote on social media, "What do you expect?"

"We were ripped away from the place we called home, the environment we were finally comfortable in," Jill explained, "and sent off while other girls hung out with our men."

"Of course I'm going to cry!" the architectural historian added.

And Genevieve pointed out how Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby were lucky to have been excused from participating in the twist, given they had just met each other the night before.

"Lucky for Michael and Danielle they get to avoid the s--tstorm that's about to commence #BachelorInParadise," Genevieve wrote.

When Jesse dropped the bomb on the cast about the new twist, he explained that every relationship has to handle adversity and the Paradise relationships were about to be tested.

Jesse said the ladies would be spending one week apart from the men at separate locations -- but if a relationship was strong, they should have nothing to worry about.

Once the women got a good look at Sarah, Kate, Eliza, Jessenia, and Florence, they seemingly all became worried and a tad insecure.

Victoria Fuller, for instance, pointed out how the newcomers had beautifully styled hair, adding, "Today [Johnny DePhillipo] asked me why I looked different, and I told him it's because I'm not wearing makeup. So, it was the wrong day to do that -- for sure."

And Florence noted how it was clear the women were hanging onto their guys for dear life.

"Some of you may find love, and some of you may find that you miss the connection you already had," Jesse told the men as they gazed upon the new arrivals in Paradise.

Lace Morris called the twist "f-cked up" because she had "found one of the best guys possible" in Rodney Mathews. Lace couldn't believe Rodney was going to be ripped away from her, and Jill and Genevieve felt the exact same way.

"This is the most messed up situation to put us in. Why do we have to leave? What are we going to do next? I don't know what I'm supposed to do here -- cry?" Lace vented in a confessional, adding how the new women looked refreshed and "hot as f-ck."

Genevieve complained she was "pissed off," and Serene exclaimed, "We're ready to burn Paradise down!"

Jill broke down into tears and shouted, "This is so stupid! Book me a flight home! I'm really not kidding. I think I'm going to go!"

Brittany Galvin and Shanae Ankney also cried about having to leave Andrew Spencer and Logan Palmer, respectively.

Back on the Paradise beach, Logan questioned after Shanae's love triangle with James Bonsall, "What is the right thing to do, and what will I do?"

Rodney appeared to make an immediate connection with Eliza, and a preview for the next episode shows that things are going to heat up between Andrew and Jessenia.

However, the women are also going to get to mix and mingle with five men at their hotel: Tyler Norris, Alex Bordyukov, Rick Leach, Olumide "Olu" Onajide, and Adam Todd.
